Although I thought I had retired from this hobby I still find myself looking for a lady who will tempt me out of my retirement

The problem is I have become increasingly lazy about travelling distances to see a WG.

There's not much quality choices around here. I am very tempted to see Polish Vivien but it requires a 35-40 mins drive to get there + dicking around looking for a car park.

There's another lady I am keen on in Preston which is about a 32 min drive away.

I just can't be arsed!

I don't think it's my libido although it does tend to hibernate a little during the colder months.

I can certainly relate to the OP. I haven't punted for over 3 years and I recall the year or so before that, my first choice was the local whoretel as I just couldn't be arsed with the hassle of driving/parking etc.

This is a problem I have too. The proportion of positive experiences is vastly outweighed by the negative ones in the north-west. I have adapted differently, I now will mainly only see 18-23 and 30+ in the north-west. Also, ensuring I mostly do incalls without contacting through aw, so it's easy to walk. I don't mind a wasted journey since I enjoy, driving and listening to music. Then I use London for 23-29 as it enables me to have almost consistent positives with stunners.

However, the faceless profiles in the ages i'm meeting in the north-west, still run an annoying and constant risk that isn't fully avoidable.

It's not like I am not wanting to punt but I have probably become a lot more savvy and selective. Risking £ 50 (years ago) on a well researched punt was a gamble worth taking but risking £ 70/£80+ on dubious reputations is pulling me back.

Every few months I resist the urge to take a wild gamble on a punt I reward myself. This month I might treat myself to a new pair of Raybans

I can see where you’re coming from but I have six or seven “regulars” and I won’t pay what I consider to be over the odds which in my area is becoming the norm. Also I am in and out of the country so I get my variety elsewhere.

Yeah I know what you mean.
A whole load of reasons that put me off punting -

Over priced
Shit comms
Shit service
Girl not as advertised / B&S / out dated pics
Reduction in decent parlour girls
City / town centre locations that you just know are going to be shit to drive to and park

The lack of talent in Blackpool is nothing new so for many years i've had to drive over to Manchester / Bury parlours but it's a 100 mile round trip which takes an hour to drive to on a good day plus when you factor in extra time for bad traffic and then try to still be 15 minutes early. By the time you then wait for an extra 15 minutes as the girl is running late and drive home it's taken half a day to punt a Negative or Neutral girl and cost you £100 for the privilege

I also have to be mindful of the increased traffic coming into and out of Blackpool at different time of the year such as illuminations and on a nice sunny summer day so you end up factoring in the time of day with the weather and the time of year before you can try and plan a punt like a military operation

I'm half way lucky that Preston has had a lot of reasonable Thai's for the last 6 months or so and i'm happy with the locations they work out of and know where I can park etc. This is one of the main factors for me getting a new postcode then having to look on Google maps etc and try to work out where i'm going and parking, makes a spur of the moment punt hard as i need to factor in the extra time to research, the real pain is if you ask a girl if she's available at X time but she takes ages to respond meaning you don't have time to check anything out

Those days are long, long gone. It's been 8 years (I think) since Sandys closed and the decline since then has been dramatic. Looking at other regions, the decline seems to be across the UK. I can't think of many places where there are plenty of good options. London and Milton Keynes, maybe. Perhaps now it's time to travel further afield for punting? A weekend away and getting a couple of punts in.

Just a thought on travelling to punt issues, how about doing an outcall instead as that would take away the travel stress.

If you can't accommodate at home then book a day room hotel (via Dayuse) which although an extra expense could be another option.

This, of course doesn't guarantee a good service or get round the B&S/old pics issues but for the lazy amongst us (me included) it could be worth a try.

When I do a search on AW for who’s available today I set the parameters to proximity and then I see who’s close that I fancy. More than a twenty minute drive and I’m not interested. It could be laziness and probably is as I can’t be arsed with the hassle of city centres and parking.

In some ways I’m in a better place in my approach to punting than I’ve ever been. There were times some years ago where it consumed a large part of my life. I’d be constantly on my phone looking at AW or numerous forums. My time was hugely taken up on the next fuck. Fortunately I now just see it as an occasional pastime I indulge in every five or six weeks.

Fucking for cash can be an obsession and really isn’t a great worthwhile use of time and money. It is great fun but as they say you can have too much of a good thing.

I work in the city centre so I'm lucky with choice but feel like the scene has massively declined since pre-Covid/the rise of OnlyFans maybe?
