Author Topic: Suggestions for hotel booking in Newcastle for daytime use?  (Read 1863 times)

I'm planning to book a meet with an escort based in Newcastle who only does outcalls. Can you suggest a hotel or a cheap apartment which I can book for 10am onwards, ideally near Newcastle station or Durham / Darlington station? Most standard hotels have morning check out clauses which doesn't work for me. Ideally need a place I can book from 9am to 3pm for example. Thanks.

Thanks! Is Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle suitable for punting?
Never used it but it's right behind the central station and takes cash.

I would say so. I visited a friend who was staying there and could get up to her room without any hassle e.g. key cards or being questioned at reception. It's a nice hotel too, quite swanky. And it's only a ~600 metre walk from Newcastle Central Station.

There’s a multi-storey car park(paid parking) next to it as well.

Great, thanks for your replies!

Sorry, another question; the escort is only available in the evening, so I'm thinking of booking a hotel with usual check-in time and check out later in the evening. I've narrowed down to 3 hotels near Newcastle Central station:

Premier Inn
Crowne Plaza
Hotel Indigo

What would you recommend that is hassle free? Thanks.

Premier Inns are never suitable for escorting purposes unless you arrange to meet the girl in the car park. Tiny indiscreet receptions and you need key cards to get out in some of them as well as in.

Thanks. I'll avoid Premier Inn then.

I booked Crowne Plaza.....then noticed Leonardo Hotel (former Jury's Inn) which is much cheaper. Is this a good hotel?

Yes I’ve used this a couple of times. Really good and easy to come and go.

I've been there when it was the Jury's Inn. I would say it was a nice hotel, though not as nice as the Crowne Plaza. I met my friend outside and we went in together. There were no keycards or hassles with reception.

I've also visited friends staying at "Motel One" (on 'High Bridge' just off the 'Bigg Market') and the "Royal Station Hotel" (next door to the Central Station) and had no problems getting into either of them e.g. keycards or nosy reception.

I haven't been since it was the Jury's Inn, but it was fine then.  Assuming the layout hasn't changed, it's a big open reception area and the lifts are over to the left meaning you don't have to engage with any "helpful" staff.
