I’m not sure if OldAdmin had a reason for keeping it relatively separate (or even if New Admin might have a reason to want to), not my business. I remember at some point a link to the wiki would appear automatically at the head of some of the o/s threads eg Germany.

It’s not massive or perfect, but growing. It can be a useful starting point for some subjects and places, saving long repetitive answers in the threads and easier to print out if you’re going abroad.

Anyone can contribute — though I think you have to register — and entries can be text or links to prominent UKP information threads. As with all wikis, a less personal style is the intended norm, with reference material rather than individual reviews.

The new sticky seems a great step forward in my opinion.

Why?? What are you going to do with all the reviews that's linked to them. What if they come back under a slightly different name the previous reviews won't be there.

You should really try adding contributions to the site before you start destroying or vandalising stuff.
And anyway the profiles should not be removed, just flagged as inactive. But first make sure the girl isn't still working using another ID

That summary page is part of UKP, its not pulling data from Puntingwiki
In fact that girl doesn't appear to have a Puntingwiki page, though theres a case for arguing the UKP summaries have superceded the Wiki listing pages anyway

She's listed here - Regional Pages - London - List of London Escorts divided by Location. (I just picked her at random.)

Click on any review listed and it takes you to her review summary page I linked to. If the listing is removed from the wiki then the links to the reviews on UKP disappear.

I post a review whenever I punt, which isn't all that often. Likely to see a girl tomorrow and I'll review her.
The wiki seems really outdated, and I would love to contribute, since there don't seem to be many people doing anything. It would be a shame to let that go to waste, linking to all these profiles that are inactive/dead or have the wrong information just doesn't seem necessary.

I see what you mean, the link to the first review takes you to the right one, but the others take you to different ones. Haven't checked any more to see what they're like.

Have you though that nobody seems to doing anything because there's nothing that needs doing really.

There's 100s of dead AW links all over the site, some reviews have 4 or 5 where the escort's changed her name and started an new profile, just because the AW link is dead it doesn't mean links to reviews should be removed.

Fair enough - but in that case, noting that there's a new profile, or that it's inactive, might be interesting when browsing the wiki. I do think there are things that could be done, like updating the rates or adding newer profiles.

Agreed, and thats what I meant when I said its best to contribute before you start destroying stuff. There are a lot of updates and additions that need doing and I think most would prefer those to be done first

While looking for my next punt, I came across a lot of profiles that are dead, that ideally would be moved to the "dead links" section, and also rates that would need updating, so it seems that there's some work to be done - why not ask for volunteers to do this, if nobody else finds the time?

Because it has nothing to do with me, I'm only posting my opinion. I have nothing to do with the wiki, I can't edit it. However moving and deleting isn't the way to do it. Delete things and you delete useful links to reviews.

Like I said there's 100s of links to dead AW profiles all over the site, the don't get deleted though, they stay for future reference. If they start an new profile it gets linked to their old one. It's the same with rates, you look at the profile and see the current rates, even if the review you read says it was cheaper.

Never really saw the point of the Punting Wiki, and like many I totally forgot about it and don't think I ever looked at it, it was something OldAdmin was keen to promote but the link seems to have gone now and I suspect it may just fade away 

Having said that no point clearing the site of dead links, would be a pointless task and as has been said before they may become relevant again

No point in removing dead AW links.  Sometimes profiles are switched back on and they are relevant again.

Is this the right place to request editing rights on the wiki please?  The guide to reviews needs an update with Rule 29 among a number of other rule changes and adjustments.  My UKPunting login details do not appear to carry across. Thanks

there's a ban on URLs in titles - OldAdmin said it messed the forum software
never been a ban on phone numbers - though personally I'd have thought best not to on data protection grounds

IMHO it also stops giving the leachers (non members) an easy route to contacting an SP.
