Yep, these things happen when you punt, particularly if you take a risk and go somewhere off plan!

Sometimes the experience makes you question yourself, but you need to remember there are good providers and lousy ones.

Roms are not universally bad, but there seems to be something in their culture that glorifies pulling off a scam. Some say it's a relic of the Communist era when you had to game the system to survive. Minimal service and stinking attitude can be the upshot of this. If the punter leaves early without his cash, she's won.

Your post-punt analysis is spot on. The conclusions you've reached and lessons learned show great insight if this is your first one.

Perhaps the biggest lesson is that you should walk if the girl isn't as nice as her pics or you don't get a good initial vibe. Easy to say, but harder to do. Easier if you have a plan B.

You'll soon want another go. Just make sure it's one you've seen before or a well-reviewed girl.
