Wow, you guys are quite paranoid, aren't you? I've seen a fair few replies like this to other posts; it's a little sad.
Nope, you just clearly don't understand why. We get lots of useless touts, fluffies, prossies etc on here and it's pretty much the only way to weed them out. A common tactic is to post if anyone has seen her, thus advertising her. Sometimes they'll also do a "review" later.
If you actually bother contribute a few reviews then people can judge your reliability much more accurately and you'll come across very little scepticism, if any (most posters, including new people don't actually get any).
The reason this is the best and most reliable punting forum by far is precisely because we weed out the dodgy, if you can't handle some initial healthy scrutiny then your only option is to stick to the significantly inferior "respectable forums" you mentioned.
