Author Topic: Yet another bareback thread (Would you if you couldn't die from an STI?)  (Read 3301 times)

Well slightly different version. Sorry but Im bored and these are usually good for a laugh.

So article I read today (guardian?) said that doctors hope that lockdown could help to wipe out HIV as a threat. Apparently the really risky period is 2 months after you catch it and since presumably there’s not been much catching going on recently it could help get rid of it.

Interesting. So it made me think of a hypothetical: if they could get rid of that and all other killer diseases, but not the regular curable ones, would you consider going bare?

Reason I ask was I couldnt actually decide cos I do like the idea of bare (if there was no associated risk) but I still wouldnt be over the moon at catching a dose of chlamydia. So probably not on balance for me. What does everyone think?

Offline m4rmite

If civvies have hiv but don't realise, unless they get tested during kickdown they will be non the wiser.
The minute they can shag again the infections will continue to spread.

Perhaps if both men and women insisted on a condom they would break the cycle.
Just my thought.

And i prefer to keep wearing a condom. :hi:

Yeah but in the hypothetical Im asking about you cant get it. Thats the thing about hypotheticals - they dont have to reflect reality  :hi:

would wear a condom regardless, dont like to be the spoon in someone else's porridge.

Yeah never thought of that - that would be gross!

Offline GorillaWarfare

Not for me, even if they somehow got rid of all the risks bareback would produce. For me, it's the fact you never know who was there before you.

Plus the fact if you do finish inside (either accidentally or by design) I don't want any WG's baby turning up on my doorstep.

Good point though Im not sure that would bother me. The sp would have to take care of contraception or trust X number of guys so if she didnt the chance of it being your swimmer that did the damage or even that she’d know it was you would be pretty small. Im assuming it wouldnt be a reg as I dont tend to do that. Different if it was I suppose

RO seems pretty popular , would that be more or less gross  :yahoo:

Yeah fair point - I guess you’re going to know pretty quickly!
Edit - I’d always assumed that a world where you could safely go bare would be better but actually maybe it wouldnt!

It’s one of those difficult risk vs reward questions.
I suppose it would be a generational thing. I didn’t punt pre the 80s, but did see civvies and it was generally bare if they had contraception, we didn’t really think about STIs in the heat of the moment.
Then HIV came up was on the media all the time and that is why I started to generally use condoms.

If you look at the young today, with the lack of media attention they are generally moving away from using Condom as the risk of HIV is not so prominent.

A 2015 CDC study found that condom use among sexually active high schoolers dropped from 63 percent in 2003 to 57 percent in 2015. A study that same year by Skyn condoms found that 48 percent of millennials use condoms “never” or “rarely.”

I am sure this is mirrored in punting, risk vs reward. It does feel better, but not sure I could get that nagging doubt that we were brought up with to make me do it again with someone I didn’t trust

Offline stampjones

Hey Kev - interesting stuff  :drinks:
I too was a child of the 80s and had a similar experience. In fact my hypothetical world that prompted this question isnt too far off what it was actually like back then. I never troubled with a condom in 99% of the women I picked up. Weird thing that I’d forgotten though til I read your post - I actually punted too back in those days (though not as much) and I always chose to use a condom as I was shit scared of catching something. Guess I answered my question 30 years ago  :dash:

So hypothetically there's 100% no risk whatsoever?

Then hypothetically, I'd 100% be up for bareback.  Use of a condom is merely risk mitigation, therefore if there is no risk to mitigate it's not necessary.

Online Hobbit

Even if we could go bareback safely, the other problem that you're forgetting is the risk of pregnancy and not all women want to take contraception due to side effects et cetera. So unless they can wipe out the risk of pregnancy as well during lockdown, I don't see bareback being on the menu for quite some time yet. :hi:

Be ok for us neutered guys I suppose, no risk of pregnancy from me. Only trouble is, a WG seeing many clients won't know who the daddy is without a DNA test, so might still come knocking on your door!

And even though I've had a vasectomy, I wasn't given a little piece of paper confirming I'd had the snip. So I can't imagine any SP in the world posited by the OP taking my word for it that I'd be firing blanks. She'd still expect me to rubber up before getting down to business.

And being the mild-mannered chap I usually try to be, I wouldn't want to, erm, rub 'er up the wrong way! Ta boom tsch! :D :D :D

Offline Thephoenix

It's hypothetical........ So at the moment it's a fantasy.

I never wear a condom in my fantasies,  and having had the snip, no pregnancy worries.

In reality I'd always wear a condom, but as little Willie won't tolerate them and just sulks, even in reality I wouldn't wear one, so I've got to stick to HJ's etc. :(

I love to go BB as I find it very difficult to maintain an erection and to orgasm in a condom, so have to pull out and use other means which spoils the fun. I choose ladies carefully have had no problems over several decades.

(I caught the clap once when I WAS using a condom in my 30s I think it was).

I use a clinic called Doctor Today for checks up. External Link/Members Only

Yes, absolutely I prefer not using a condom. And no WG will come knocking on my door, as I don’t use a real name, nor give away my address, and I use a punting phone number and pay in cash  :hi:

Good luck with that. Trying to convince a girl you're firing blanks is highly unlikely.

And in real life rather than hypothetical even if they “solve” HIV there are still plenty other things out there that will kill you or make life quality pretty poor so nothing is going to make any of this a real choice anytime soon.  :hi:

Lol one of two times I got it was with a long term partner. Life is nothing if not ironic

Offline Visionist

I caught mononucleosis from an SP despite using a condom. They call it kiss disease here so you can imagine how I got it. Was in bed with a fever for weeks.

I'm sterile and can prove it readily by placing a girl's hand on my ball (singular). That's if she hasn't seen my 10 inch scar first.

I barebacked my first sexual partner ever, a civvie as I naively thought that at 17, she likely didn't have anything. Didn't cum inside her even though she said she'd had a gadget installed to preclude ovulation. I doubt such a gadget even exists but I was young myself and horny and hated condoms even then.

If punting was not only legal but established and normalised, with providers declaring their earnings (fancy that) and having to have a license which they need to take a course and a test for (sounds like an interesting course), and specialized doctors renewing a girl's "clean bill of health" certificate every week at least, then I'd probably bareback an SP if she was expensive enough to preclude seeing a dozen punters a day and if I was her first "appointment" of the day. I know many STDs are undetectable via testing though.

Ultimately, I wonder just how risky DFK and eating an SP out from in front and behind already is. Doesn't stop me doing it.

Having just looked at their prices, I wonder why do you go there, HP, rather than the free (and, in my experience, always very good) NHS GUM clinics?

I've actually got a little certificate confirming there's no spermatozoa in my ejaculate,  after providing my follow up sample
to the nurse where the surgery was performed in Australia.
As I had the procedure done privately, I'd rather hoped she would have provided some personal assistance, but it was more of a 'G'day mate, take this tube and go in there and bash one out for me cobber!'

However, I doubt that any SP would be convinced.

Yes I guess it's obvious. I have been down on many WGs but as someone who was trying to tell me how awful punting was my early 20s said "she's probably banging her boyfriend raw too". I heard WGs talking to each other at some parties and that is indeed the case so I guess any direct contact is never a good idea. However, if I could somehow know that she had no porridge I definitely would pay more for it.

So in a world where hiv dosnt exist; Personally concerning the 2nd hand porridge issue it dosnt bother me that much as far as sex goes but it would put me off RO. So i think id opt for bareback just cos it feels incomporably better than fucking a condom, and not doing RO, except if the girl looked really young and cute and i had an overwhelming desire to lick her pussy and then id just convince myself it was ok once in a while.

These days when I go for a check up I definitely feel much more self conscious than I used to.
This is due to the fact that I'm almost always a good 30 years older than anyone else in the waiting room, and it's not imagination to say that I have attracted a few stares and grins from the generally youthful audience when I walk in.
I've considered doing what HP does, but at the price of a couple of one hour punts, I continue to bite the bullet and stick with the NHS.
The ultimate nightmare is some young nurse chasing after me, through the waiting room after I slink out of the cock inspection area to tell me that I've dropped my bus pass.   :scare:
