but RB usually works if you are patient, and made the booking at least a few days before the proposed event.

I had a few bookings which looked good but were too far away and so noted them for another time (and replied and said thank you for the bid) and it paid off with slightly reduced fees later, going by their RB bid.

RBs are of zero interest to me, I already know what I am willing to pay WGs and can locate enough the usual way.

I enjoy doing RB's but...they're not for every punter. I've found the best results you need at least a weeks leadup time to your punt so. So if you put up a RB a day before,don't expect anyone but the usual desperadoes to bid.

They are obviously making a fortune. A punters strike is of course total and utter fantasy, its been discussed on here before by 2 now banned posters, both deluded idiots of the highest order.

IF every punter on here posted they would go on strike, firstly how would you know they were ALL telling the truth and would do so and most punters don't post on here anyway so those that don't would still be paying what they pay. The ONLY WGs this might affect are forum darlings, but as I say it wont be happening anytime soon that's for sure.

Once the RB goes past the desired date/time of the booking as you specified it in the RB listing, the RB is entirely wiped from your own view, so you cannot see who bid on it.

I placed an RB this week at short notice just as an experiment. I've done two previously one was successful and good value, the other unsuccessful (a complete washout). Both previous ones were week long RBs.

The short notice one I placed this week was for a random time that would have been good for me but I said in the RB that I could be flexible on day and time. I got no bids in 18 hours so I managed to go in and change the date to the following day. I then got one stupid bid overnight from a woman 60 miles away with no pictures on her profile. I had no further bids until very soon before the time I had set in the RB when I got an email from AW saying I'd had a bid but I wasn't able to get to a PC to check the bid right away. An hour later I went to check the bid and it had not only expired but had also disappeared. I could not see who had bid or how much. I complained and got referred to the help which says the RB will no longer be visible after the time in the booking, no leeway.

So watch your RB end dates and check your bids.

Unfortunately not mate. We actually discussed this yesterday. She is a part time WG and only sees a couple of guys a week, so if she gets involved in discounting and haggling on rates, it would probably end up not being worth her while.
