Sore throat after RO

Does anyone else get a sore throat after doing RO for a while?  I usually do, it lasts a day or so and then goes.  Am not particularly worried about it as it happens consistently, not from a single girl, and have had an STI screen and been fine.  I'm wondering if it's a muscular thing from extended use of tongue etc. ?

I always used to after DFK. Slap a bottle of mouthwash and some strepsils in the car.

No, I haven't.  I doubt it's strep throat though as it always goes away of its own accord after a couple of days.

No, but i sometimes have tongue strain that can be painful.

If a regular occurrence, then almost certainly a lack of saliva.  Dani's advice is good.

I enjoy giving RO immensely (and rimming) and always get varying degrees of sore throat-age.....
I was paranoid about it for a long time, but had a throat swab at my last GUM visit and all came back negative. It always seems to clear up after a few days......
I thought it might be to do with lubes and creams and antibacterial washes you Girls might use?

If a WG has what you assume to be lube and cream there when you rim, you probably need to see a new WG too, to be honest.

Thanks Dani, I thought it might be something like that.  I don't think it's an infection, because even fast-growing infections like Staph or Strep take a day or two to multiply enough to cause symptoms.

Try the spray I recommended as it really works well.  It is just fake saliva in a can.  they do a gel too but it does not work as well as is a bit yucky.  The spray can be sprayed right at the back of your throat so lubricates it quickly
