The good old Brunny

Just been talking to an old mate, reminiscing about the Brunny AKA Brunswick strip club in Laygate, South Shields. The worlds premier strip club with en suite Mosque. Used to drink in there quite often and sometimes pop in during the day if I was working local. We’d rarely spend the whole night there but normally start with a couple pints before getting a taxi down street and end up finishing with the last pint at the Brunny hoping for some back room action (Don’t think we ever got lucky to be honest, but I do remember coming close with a bottle blonde lass with huge tits and massive fake nails). There was also a little  short haired red head bombshell who looked like a librarian when you seen her in the street (she worked at a local supermarket) and wouldn’t say Boo to a Goose/Ghost -I’ve never know the correct phrase- but when she was on stage with the music she always let herself go. The Brunny was in laygate So Shields opposite the Adam and Eve pub.
There was loads of rumours about a certain Blonde dancer who was the star turn....heard some belting stories about her.

Great days indeed a good few miles drive for us lads so we would take turns and head to shields on a Friday, Hacky Jackie the tall dancer was a good laugh and the

Used to do the same as John, there was three of us would take turns to drive every Friday. A couple in the Brunswick and the bar opposite, I think everyone knows Hacky Jackie  .
