I wonder if one of the reasons members make a 'public announcement' about retiring, despite the rules, is that they think it may help them to stop punting if they're otherwise finding it difficult.
Maybe it's a bit like coming out as an alcoholic or other addictive behaviour.
It's a bit like 'Vitrion' and his 'no fapping' thread, that's being allowed to continue despite it seemingly just being his personal no fapping record, with his claim that by making it public it helps him to achieve his apparent goal of never wanking again.
We've had some big names announcing their retirement in the past only to subsequently fail.
I wonder how many of you have reached the stage I have, where because of age, ailments, ED meds side effects and interactions etc, even legit massages seem rather pointless.
I can't get comfortable on a massage bench, usually have ED and difficulty climaxing and can often sense the impatience of the masseuse wanking furiously away with the usual passion numbing fake noises.
It defies all logic for me to continue punting, so why do I do it?????
Many punts ago I announced that if I punt again I'll show my arse from the top deck of the Mersey ferry. More recently I said I'd do the same from the top of the Liverpool building.
As a result I'm now banned from the ferries and for being anywhere within a mile of the Pier Head.
FFS....why can't I just go fishing or take up country dancing???
