I think you have to accept that, even after doing all the checks you can, there's always a risk that something won't be as advertised.
I think if you go in with the mindset that you are going to walk if something isn't right, you'll be in the right frame of mind, able to make your apologies and leave with your money still in your pocket, your peace of mind only mildly disturbed, and be ready to try plan B, or C.
