I think they charge for extras (!!) - the 'avaialbe today' flag for example.

I think AW is free to publish an Ad but they take a percentage of other services like Webcam, Selling Pictures, etc. 

Otherwbsites like Vivastreet Charge like £12 per ad per week but they do zero ID check.

Impossible question to answer as it depends on how the particular SP works, as well as the charges listed, they charge for almost anything that may help an escort earn money, such as to display a phone number ect.

As mentioned though, it's none of our business, the SP will decide if it works for her (or him) and decide to either pay or not. Most do because it is best way market their services as it is the most popular with punters, how often do we see people saying they will only book a girl spotted on VS or wherever if they find an AW profile too?

In case this is useful AW add VAT to SP Private Gallery, cam, phone chat prices. This amount is not passed on to the SP, also there are charges to the SP for each direct cam & phone chat customer connection. If the SP decides to withdraw credits AW take 30 % from the total.

There is also a charge of £4.99 to change to back to your home location

When you change location you change 4 things....
Area...eg Wales
County...eg Carmarthenshire
Town...eg Carmarthen
Postcode...

You have to change and get right every one of those before hitting pay because if you get the area or postcode wrong they charge you a second time to change it, so potentially it could cost you much more than £4.99,  you cannot pay for this service out of your PG sales or credits, you have to pay with a debit or credit card.


They as stated charge for Available today but they also charge to show as local escort, and to be featured as escort of the day on the front page, the featured facility is via an auction of sorts, there are a limited amount of places each day and they can sell out well in advance,  I believe they become available 4 weeks before the feature day and the fewer spaces left and the closer to the date it gets the higher the price, I've seen it over £50.

There are dozens of ways in which they make money out of escort profiles but it is what it is.

The thing I find frustrating is like Strawberry said,  they add vat onto PG sales so you guys pay more than we charge,  we don't see that money they keep that slice, then if we want to cash in credits they take a further 30% off us so they are getting paid twice for the same thing.

For a short while VAT was added onto the phone number display charge (an all charges to SPs) making it 1.20 credits per day, this was then refunded when AW found a different or correct or better way to account for VAT. The whole VAT thing was a bit of a shambles, looked like AW suddenly realised they were liable to charge this, so whacked it on sitewide. Caused much confusion at the time. I have never known it to be any higher unless I have missed something (I am not infallible).

They also charge for any sort of featuring, I generally pay an average of about 21 credits per day for escort featuring.  Escort of the day is an auction and in the past I've paid around 150 credits.  The cost of webcam positioning is chargeable, probably around 1-2 credits per hour to get a decent position on the cam page.

I just received a box of waterwipes delivery a few days ago, condoms, lube ordered online they don't materialise as if by magic. Some other directories and advertising websites charge fees, just depends where, what, facilities required for the advert. VS for example costs more than AW without opportunity to earn credits.

It wasn't that they suddenly realised, the company base was moved from outside the EU, to a place inside the EU, so under EU rules VAT became a requirement.
Looking on their info page it now looks like they are based in Jersey so VAT is still levied.

I don't shop in Costco thanks

I buy my wipes, tissues and loo roll from cheeky panda as they are bamboo and sustainable as well as having no harsh chemicals or fragrance,  condoms are bought in bulk from UK online pharmaceutical suppliers, I carry several sizes and types, lube and other sundries from online sources, stockings online or highstreet etc

The bit in bold fascinates me, do you think our cars that we drive to outcalls in run on fresh air not fuel? Or that we get free train and uber services. We have that expense too same as you, we also have phone rental and most likely bigger contracts or charges as we use them more, I certainly have a work phone and would never dream of using my personal number for this activity.
We then have the cost of hotels, Airbnb,  apartments etc if touring, some girls run a separate working flat with all the associated costs, others like myself work from home, we still incur lighting and heating costs just like you.

I'm not sure why you are so fascinated by our costs, we are like any other small independent business in that we have running costs, tell me are you thinking of setting up a brothel or putting the missus to work perhaps

I do, I buy condoms in bulk from the freedoms shop (tax deductable), wet wipes 6 packs at a time from the supermarket lol

This thread reminds me of a Daily Telegraph podcast I listened to about the porn industry and where the power lies, and how it's moved from the website owners to the Mastercard and Visa and now back to the performers, through Only Fans etc.  Looking at those costs, AW doesnt seem too prohibitive, I thought they'd be more vampiric
