Phoenix club London - a bit of beef

Hi all

Just a quick one with something on my mind. I have a bit of a gripe at the moment with The Phoenix club External Link/Members Only it's nothing to do with the parties, but how they've now started to use their social media accounts, and how they aren't using the girls that work for them.

See, I followed their account on Twitter. Recently they got very active. Sometimes they were posting pics of the girls at the parties, and a couple of times they posted pics of some action (although faces obscured). To me, this is great! This is what I want to see as a potential visitor. Only, they also use pictures of girls that don't party. Now, you might think I'm making something out of nothing here. Maybe I am. To be honest I just scrolled through posts of theirs of glossy images of girls or sex parties that were just a bit of advertising. Only, one day this week they used the image of an escort I know works in Torquay. It was an amateur photo that I instantly recognised. TPC even used the same tag line she used on her photo a month back. However, when I queried with them, they blocked me!

Now, you can block me if you really want, I don't think it serves a purpose but each to their own. What I have an issue with is what I consider to be a reputable swingers company stealing pictures of other girls (who don't and have never worked for them) and use it to advertise their parties. This is a bit false if you ask me; if I did this in my line of work, I'd probably lose my job! Especially when you consider that all the photos of the girls on TPC website have their logo splashed right across them.

I've partied with Phoenix for 4 years (obviously when they were in their old inclination). I've had great parties and not so great parties over this time, but I'm not here to attack the parties. I just think it's a bit wrong to use other people's pictures to advertise their parties. Were someone stealing their pics to advertise a sex event, I'm sure TPC would quite rightly object. But I'd like to hear from them why they feel it's ok to do this, and any thoughts you guys might have on the situation. If you were to see a picture of a girl advertised in Kensington, then you turn up and it's not her, you'd be unhappy. Do you feel this is the same thing?

Whatever the ins and outs if Em is still in charge of TPC she is responsible for the images that are posted online anywhere, assuming the account hasn't been hacked by someone. A few years ago there was a site advertising LMP WGs but none worked for that site as was soon established.

LMP was always a VERY well oiled outfit who never lied to me but I have seen TPC go backwards in comparison yet the prices stay the same. LMP used to cost £120 for 2 hours or £200 for 4 with 7 WGs per party, great VFM, TPC is £160 for 2 hours with less WGs for some reason.

I note the OP mention it being a swinging type outfit, TPC is a sex party just like LMP was, punters pay the £160 to punt with WGs not swingers, real swingers don't charge, and of course can pick and choose who they have sex with and decide not to have sex with anyone if they so wished. TPC like LMP is a brothel which could be raided any time the police decide, punters wouldn't be breaking the law but to portray it as a swingers outfit mis-represents it to punters in my view.

Yes I agree with you. It is clearly something that doesn't happen at the parties. The social media account doesn't keep with their branding in my opinion. Some of the content is of the girls at the parties, but going by their gallery it just appears to be spammed out to several accounts to get noticed. I'm sure Em reads this site and would love to hear their side of it, especially as I'm now blocked!

Blame the Governor of the Bank of England for not hitting his inflation targets!

In fact, as we have discussed once before, any type of sex club, even true swingers clubs, fall under the legal definition of a brothel...

A brothel is defined as "a place where people of opposite sexes (but see paragraph below) are allowed to resort for illicit intercourse, whether the women are common prostitutes or not". It is not essential to show that the premises are in fact used for the purposes of prostitution (which involves payment for services rendered); a brothel exists where women offer sexual intercourse without charging (Winter v Woolfe [1931] KB 549).

It's just that swinging generally avoids adverse attention from the authorities and has recently become more socially acceptable amongst a sector of the young metropolitan elite...so that's why many sex clubs of varying descriptions like to masquerade as such.

It is kind of jarring that they have been running generic stock photo porn alongside the much appreciated, educational, and entertaining shots of their "hostesses."  But what is really offputting to me the recently frequent generic pics that include unprotected sex.  That is absolutely not their business.  It is not offered and in my experience (which I am sure is universal) it absolutely does not happen at their parties.  They really should not be tweeting it saying "come get some of this 1-3, 4-6, 7-9."  It makes me not want to participate.

I've been to over 60 parties with LMP/Phoenix and any penetrative sex is always with a condom, condoms are also available for oral too, so no worries there...the captions along with those stock porn pics are not helpful!

In this context I think it means going against custom or accepted moral norms. Having sex with someone you are not related to is not illegal but is considered immoral by some people.

The social media advertising of bareback and creampies is very disturbing as it could potentially lead to people turning up and trying that on with the girls as it is now being portrayed as happening  That could lead to some very unpleasant situations. Indeed. This thread has been up since the 27th of May so by now the social media advertising of shit like this should of been taken down and deleted, if its not been why on earth not. This shit might attract bug chasers but could well put off some if not many punters. Terrible business sense, and that is a big surprise to me as Em always had good business sense. I am assuming she is still in charge at TPC, no one who has posted has suggested otherwise, and if it were a hack it would be clear by now that it was one.

Exactly! If I want those type of images I can just look for them on the Internet. The account should give party updates or tease us with what is actually going on, not a load of made up tripe with pics of girls that have nothing to do with TPC

I do wonder if anybody has been to a party and asked their standpoint. If so, please speak up!
