In short sumbag robber, Full and utter nobend :)

She then used the phone number she had been messaged on to carry out a search on Facebook.
It gave her a photo allegedly of Ionut Sofroniei, who she described as man two, who wore the mask.

Just one of the many reasons why I have never had anything to do with Facebook and never intend to.

That makes two of us old 'uns of similar mind, Hl.

We've managed well enough without, so far; we can carry on managing without for however long we've got left!

+1  I'm not on facebook and have no intention of ever being on it. Too public for my liking. Managed all my life without it . Agree entirely with Home Alone's statement

Oh I love facebook. It's fucking great, all those pictures of what people are having for their tea, how amazing their children are compared to yours, how amazing they are compared to you, how amazing their life is compared to yours and how many times they can use the word amazing in each post. It's amazingly amazing......

I use FB a lot as I have extended family across the world it's a great tool to keep in touch. The punting phone lives in the car and has a flat battery within it and a live battery is added when it goes 'live'. It is never used on FB twitter or anything else other then it's purpose and even if it was the security settings on your FB  account should be set so any phone number is not seen by anyone else. The email addy is also hidden along with photo and posts being seen by just friends  no one else like friends of friends, it's easy enough to secure the info.

Far too many escorts expose themselves by using email.accounts on AW that contain either a partial or full real name and yes I do look.  The Intel it provides is invaluable as you can see more pictures, unedited and up to date . I have never divulged the info gleaned openly on here or anywhere else others do and it's not on. You would be amazed what you can find out about anyone on the net, it's frightening with age, birth place,  married , current address old addresses,  who else lived with you, parents, even financial stuff. I found a very well known escort had been bankrupt just by putting her name into Google.

Security and safety has to be at the front of our minds at all times, one simple slip could drop us into a world of shite.

The Internet is a dangerous place try sticking get your name into Google

But the question is.....

What’s your cover story should the punt phone be found by someone you’d rather not?

Do you use WhatsApp? If so you have something to do with Facebook and essentially have a dormant Facebook profile linked to your mobile number

I suspect happylad has not heard of what app, never mind use it

I have indeed heard of it, indeed I am constantly bombarded with texts and emails requesting or advising me to use it.  However, I am also fully aware of the ways it can be used to hack into one`s private affairs - something experienced by a member of my family who used it and was also daft enough to proclaim his doings on Facebook, and was caused considerable trouble and inconvenience.

I simply prefer to keep my affairs private and safe.

My old Nokia doesn`t do "APPS" of any sort - it`s plain voice or text.  As (unlike most of the idiots who bump into me in the street or step out without looking in front of my car) I neither want nor need to continually tweet, twitter and gossip on a `phone, the Nokia that is all I need.  Anything more private than that goes on my well protected computer where there is, at least, some modicum of safety.

This case is over two years old. As far as I am aware, searching by phone number on facebook doesn't give up a person's account any more

So sensible, Hl.

It's a generational thing, Hl. I love being rude to those cretins who bump into me and my walking stick as they walk along with their heads focussing only on typing.

I used my ordinary phone, I've always felt having an additional phone is an accident waiting to happen. Instead I use apps to generate fake numbers.

Make sure that you check the privacy settings on all social media and never have your number on there.

I've been receiving the odd premium rate text message. Luckily, I can ditch my payg number.
