Wakefield Red Light District / RLD

Hi all
I’m looking for a Red Light District / RLD in Wakefield, but haven’t been able to find anything on Google. I know there’s one in Leeds (Holbeck) and Huddersfield (Great Northern Street area), but am keen to find one in Wakefield if it exists.

I havent resided in the area for over 10 years now, but i am not aware of RLD in Wakefield since the mid 80s, and even then it was not up to much

I've had close connections with the Wakefield area for over 30 yrs and have never been aware of an RLD there.

Leeds Holbeck RLD was wound up a few years ago, it's no longer a permitted zone.  However you do get a few still chancing their arm, along Holbeck Lane and particularly along St Matthew's St by the church.  But they look sad and drug ravaged.  I'd stay clear.

Back in the early to mid 80s you could get some street action around the Commercial street. Mark street and Tadman street areas, Thornes, most of this was related to the massage parlour on Church street and mainly on an evening

I think the street scene is almost dead - never heard of one in Wakey and I have lived in the area for 30 years now - there was recent reference to a lass potentially working early mornings near Kirkgate station and Thornes industrial estate might have had the odd visitor years ago.

Batley Carr was another location that used to see some action but that is long gone - not that I go that way anymore.

Doncaster, Sheffield, Huddersfield or Leeds would be the main places near to Wakefield - or try the escort adverts on AW, VS and others but costs go up too with them.

OP - you do realise that prowling red light areas brings a significant risk of arrest?

I think Wakefield in general is a punting desert - especially on the massage with extras scene, with only really  Rainbow & the newer one Ou Ya on Doncaster Road (which is not much good for locals as it is right on main road & very indiscreet) unless anyone knows of anywhere else?

Rainbow and Ou Ya are the main places for massage+extras. Both are decent enough, but agree that Ou Ya's location couldn't be less discreet!

There is also Thai to Relax in Ossett which I recall as being decent, but it's been a long time since I visited.

But yes, Wakefield is unfortunately a bit of a punting desert. There's always a rotation of Roms and Brazilians on AW and VS, but due to bad experiences I steer well clear!
