Is it not contribution/post based ? when i'm logged out they're visible but not when logged in .

If so, they go away if you post regularly, used to be in last 7days:

Oh is that it? I've always wondered why sometimes I see them and sometimes I don't...and I'm always logged in.

I am more concerned by that filter by category that you get on the home page

If you run an advert blocker plugin like "uBlock Origin" you can right click the area, select "Block Element" and then highlight the area you don't want to appear.

It's also useful to hide the UKPunting title in large letters, in case someone is reading over your shoulder.

I don't know why but it varies with me. Sometimes logging in removes them, other times not. It doesn't bother me but I can understand why the op asks.

Yes I had seen that but having posted in the last 7 days couldn't see that being the reason.

That's weird, seems to work differently for everyone. I'm constantly logged in, and the pictures are there 100% of the time for me, they don't go away even if I've just posted. Wonder if there's any chance admin will step in to clear this one up?

Oh yeah, massively touting and trying to get my post count up there. Or, maybe, just maybe, I was trying to stress that it's not a logging in issue as so many people think.

Just posting for the first time in a while to try out this advice [and . . . one minute later] it worked for me. Always logged in. Saw the row of UKE pics before this post and now they have gone.

Can't tolerate it? I like them, it wasn't me that posted wanting to get rid of them. I was just curious why some people were seeing different behavior to others. In fact if they'd suddenly disappeared one day for no apparent reason I'd have been quite confused as to why.

I've got the same - but I rarely notice the pics as there aren't many appealing ones for my taste.
