Just had a bit of an awkward text/WhatsApp conversation with the lady attached. Comms were great, sorting something for next week. Asked about if truly independent and location etc, again all good. Asked if she would be willing to send any pictures on WhatsApp and again all good but she did ask me for one before sending hers. Not a problem but here goes the awkward bit. Her response was this is awkward as I know you from ?£&@ “(:/£(£& which is my work place! 🤦. We exchanged a few more texts and agreed this is not the best thing to persue. She said she was going to remove her profile immediately. Sounded desperately in need of help. Never encountered anything like this when trying to arrange anything. You always think you may stumble across someone you know and it could be awkward for both parties.

The only picture I’ve seen is the one on Adultwork, don’t have access to private gallery. I don’t recognise her from her picture but she knows me. If I hadn’t sent the WhatsApp picture of myself then neither of us would be any the wiser. She’s eluded to the point she is in this situation is to save her home, which I can only put down to financial issues?

It’s a bit of a dilemma but for both parties I think the best thing is to give it a miss but those tits! It’ll be interesting to see if she does remove the profile as she seems to have maybe rushed into this industry without thinking too much about the pitfalls.

Even more confusing is searching for the phone number in google gets a hit on a scrap yard in Sheffield - though there's no obvious reason why.
Perhaps the phone number has been reissued?
Going back to the girl though, I'd guess at least one of these profiles has fake photos, and that she's not as new to the game as she claims

My working hypothesis is she previously worked as a touring girl, has stopped for Covid and got a real job, couldn't make it pay, so has gone back on the game with a new profile - this time working from home.

Why would she blurt out a confession like that out of the blue? You had no clue who she was, you'd never seen her face, if she'd kept quiet you'd be none the wiser. All she had to do was ghost you completely and you'd have just put it down to "yet another flakey WG".

It could be bullshit and she doesn’t actually know you at all, but would seem a strange thing to say.. all’s bit weird when you think about it. Just keep you head down at work or look for someone with a cracking pair and try and figure who it is...

The funny thing is she mentioned my place of work by name and it’s a small business. I do go out and see clients and suppliers but also see them on site so it would appear that she does know who I am that’s why I’d like to think discretion is the key thing here, which I’m sure it will be. I’m not the first and won’t be the last to be in a situation like this. The way she spoke though, it was as if she’s made a big mistake in entering into this industry and might be having second thoughts, who knows?

She's not cut out for meeting strangers on AW.
She simply 'freaked out' with nagging doubts and racing thoughts of "I can't go through with this", once pictures had been exchanged.

It does sound as though she may be telling the truth. If it’s a lie to avoid going through with a meeting it seems over elaborate. What does she have to gain from such a story. Unless she knows you from somewhere other than work and revealing that would also give away her identity.
So she has you at a disadvantage. She knows you but you don’t know her. That could be an uncomfortable feeling.
Clearly you will be keeping your eyes at chest level at work even more than normal now, it might be a good idea to make eye contact with any eligible candidates just in case there is a reaction that gives the game away.

She could be a client, supplier, end user of our services. As I get out and about with the job but also in the place of work it could be anyone. I’m not one for doing lots of visits to a variety of girls and to be honest can’t wait for parlours to reopen so I can visit the lady I’ve seen for a number of years who I feel more comfortable with rather than going into the unknown.

Have you tried googling your own phone number? There's a multitude of ways a number can become linked to enough information online to find these things out.

Picture is totally unrelated to work website. I’m putting it down to her recognising me through work and felt awkward if anything got out after the meet. Be interesting to see if anyone puts any reports about meetings they may have in the future to see if she is still going through with this as a ‘job’ or a la k of reports would suggest she has had second thoughts as she said and was not going to do it. All sounds a bit strange but not going to sweat on it too much.

The strange thing I’d her profile is jumping around all over the place.
What I think he meant is if they have a picture of and your works website has a picture of you it’s just a simple image search whether the pictures are the same or not.

I remember a few years back, I had seen a particular WG a few times... and then went cold when I saw said WG in photos my sister posted of her hen do on social media... I was dreading an awkward scenario at that wedding for a few weeks but luckily the WG either couldn’t make the wedding or wasn’t invited (I’ve never dared ask, ha ha). That one was a bit close to home for me.

I’d say the original poster used his own personal mobile and a quick Google from the SP found his name/workplace. I’d say that whoever is doing this is either got nothing else better to do or is trying to bribe/blackmail people.
