I use one every time to make sure I'm erect enough to carry out the mission and in the past used to take a full 100mg Viagra to make sure but now I've cut back to about a 25mg pill and a ring. They work for me.  I am not far off 70 and need something to help me get it up. Cock ring or sildenafil will do the job, but both together get me as hard as when I was 30. I prefer the Durex rings, sold at Tesco and other places.

I used a cock ring, for the first time, on my last punt. Put it on when flaccid, at the start of the punt. Don't leave on for more than 20 to 30 minutes, regardless of what you are doing with it. It can always go on a second time, if you have booked for an hour. I had a second go. Worked a treat.

A cock ring can prevent ejaculation, or make it difficult. But you can remove it at that point.

There are quick release cock rings available that you can use if you're concerned about that.

Just curious... never used one just for the shaft.  I do like a reasonably snug cock-strap though - keeps the walnuts tidy and properly in place
