A bit light on the sex buyer perspective, though I'd be happy to show Priti Patel the ropes.

I am interested but not that much time on my hands. Maybe we could take a page each?

Some insights from the WGs themselves (not to mention the rent boys), but very little in it from a punter's perspective.

75 pages if you're English

95 pages for the Welsh edition

As I can't speak Welsh, I don't know why their version is 20 pages longer ... I guess we can all make assumptions ...

:unknown:  maybe they have an extra section for "specialist" services unique to Wales  :unknown:

This is pretty much always the case though isn't it?

Seen a few programmes over the years about the business, they never focus on the punters.  Same goes for any article you read in the papers etc.

I mean, I don't claim to have seen them all, but that's certainly the impression I get.

Good to see they classify sugar arrangements as sex work may burst a few snowflakes bubbles with that

Offline snaitram99

Centre for Gender and Violence Research at Bristol Uni. produced the report. Don't they have form for starting from a biased perspective?

Haven't read it,  may skim it if I have time. Looking forward to the specialist section in the extra pages of the Welsh version.

PS. Bonker, the prosies oops sex workers are not in Llanfair PG, they are mainly in Aberystwyth near Trefechan Bridge. You can identify them by the Welsh costumes they wear.  :hi:

TBH the report is already out of date as there's plenty of sex workers on Tinder and WeChat.  It probably merits a report of its own.

I think the media and politicians have a vested interested in maintaining the concept that all punters are either grubby cheats or misfits.   If the reality of how normal the vast majority of us are became apparent to the general public, there might be a change in society's attitudes towards the sex industry, which many would view as destabilising the nation's moral standards and threatening the concept that monogamy is the perfect relationship.  I've met lots of guys who leer and lust behind their OH's backs, but do nothing about it through fear of being caught and how they will subsequently be judged.  Contrast this with, say, France, where it is seen as quite normal for a guy to indulge during the "cinq au sept" hours.

True, keeping these women employed and (mostly) off benefits does make us scum.

Indeed, and on top of this is the fact the femi-nazis can spout their bile publicly while many WGs and punters cant giving them a big media advantage as the media wants to hear something even if its total shit to either fill their space or to further their anti-prostitution agenda.

Its changing with the younger generation but many older people here still view sex as dirty and not to be talked about.

It's not different to any market force, people want a service and some people provide it why that being sex is of any concern should not be an issue as long as there is no coercion.

Am I alone, I wonder, in finding the report to be just plain boring indeed turgid - bit like my willy first thing in the morning. OK , I'm an active punter so simply nothing I read was a surprise except the really tiny number of punters interviewed.
If anything I think the report will do nothing but help our leaders simply kick down the road whatever possible outcomes might be expected from the report itself and since these seem not to have been discussed in any helpful way whatsoever the report is void of any real purpose.
I was pleased to see the little genuflection suggesting that the law on brothels should be changed to allow SPs to work together. Most Plods allow this anyway providing they don't offend the neighbours.

What makes you think they're mostly off benefits?

It's all f**king bullshit as the politicians very well know, look at the shambles that Brexit is. You can bring out reviews/reports till kingdom come, where cunts are on offer, knobs will follow.

Academics are for the most part arrogant tossers, the ones teaching sociology are the worst offenders, probably the best punters as well, who knows.  :D

Giving them benefit of doubt - although no doubt there are as many on benefits as there are paying taxes.

Offline Mr_Shins

Interesting they also include BDSM which includes those who don't offer sex. Quite reasonable what they wrote about pro-dommes.

I noticed the sugar-arrangements section too having been in one of those.

Most likely there were far fewer punters who answered their survey than workers.

Offline Payyourwaymate

Just read the executive summary from page 2 till 4 and that will answer your questions, if you do not want to read the full report. From the summary it does not really bring to light anything new that has not already been discussed on this forum. Which makes me wonder who is deciding the budgets to do this  :sarcastic:.

The usual feminist claptrap?

Surprisingly, it seems not, from a skim reading of it. Does go to great lengths in parts to state the bleeding obvious though. Does not seem to have any recommendations but maybe outside their remit.

Next, the Welsh version to find why it's about 20 pages longer.

Even if there were no review boards, poor service will mean no returners, and most escort business is returning clients.

And we don't give a poor review because a woman declines to give something up front, it is only when she accepts the booking and then won't do something that is listed on her profile.

Yes, in the factual documentary series of books by Malcolm Pryce about the mid Wales metropolis that is Aber, although I think the famous What the Butler Saw industry has declined in recent years with the internet and the influx of fake EE girls claiming to be Welsh but unable to do the language or even the accent.  :D

Yep - and the fluffy cunts out there are the root and cause of all the problems in the industry (poor service, unrealistic rates and USI - unwarranted self-importance for the WGs.)

AdultWANK also has it in their interests to serve the interests of the WG and not the punter.

You want the truth - come here. If more punters did, there would be no more shite service.

Review boards have been going for fifteen years plus now, so not unreasonable for their existence to be openly known.

Well I don't know if she's a dirty cow in private but she is one case where I don't give a shit whether she's physically and facially attractive, to me she's just too ugly a person for me to be able to consider sex with her. I'd help with the ropes, mind.
