Regardless it's not your business, and I'm sensing a very negative and derogatory vibe in the OP's post, especially with the random mention of kids growing up and looking at websites like AW. Like that's not even related, but he had to mention it for some reason.
I found that part of the post disturbing also. It had little relevance to the first part.
Cover stories can be a huge problem for some SPs and Covid may indeed have meant added issues for some, but as others have said it's none of our business.
Re conversations between punters and wgs this will cover a huge spectrum from almost none existent to 'hairdresser' small talk. It may be more detailed ... either one sided or reciprocal. It may be truthful or totally made up (with everything in between). It may develop with the regularity of meetings. It may not.
However there are some punters who are somewhat obsessed with the personal lives of who they meet. This is where I believe it becomes at best very unhealthy and the potential to be much worse. This is not always related to EAS.
With this group it can develop further and they feel the need to pass this personal info on to other punters online. Sometimes publicly, but mostly by PM/DM. Networks can developing via the latter and they trade with others. "You tell me yours and I'll tell you mine".
To a lesser extent this type may also be interested in other punters who post online and they try to gain information about them too from SP's who they may have met. Most wgs will maintain confidentiality but some don't.
I'm not talking about huge numbers here, but to compensate for the lack of numbers, I have known some 'superspreaders' of personal information over the years. They become experts at compilation of snippets of info. Be warned .. "Loose lips sink ships" etc.
