Both banks have to support ‘faster payments’ for the transfer to be received immediately.
If one of you is with a bank that does not provide this service then you’re looking at least 3 working days.
Most major UK banks support faster payments. Do you know who her bank is?
Either way just call your bank and cancel the transfer and you’ll have the money back in your account.
If she’s received the money already then you need to pop over there and have a friendly chat with her.
