I am an independent and this was/still is a genuine offer. I naively didn't see how it could be construed as an attempt to screw Harribo over, or steal money from him or worse, but please be assured that absolutely wasn't/isn't my intention!
Yes, reading his neutral review here did prompt me to get in touch and offer him a refund. And, yes I realise that I should have done this at the time of the booking. As has already been stated, the booking felt a bit awkward and while I did try my best to make it a better experience, I should have spoken about it to Harribo at the time, been more direct and offered him a refund. Reading his review about it it on here in detail did make me feel uncomfortable because I knew I hadn't dealt with it in the right way, which is why I got in touch with him. I can understand how it can be interpreted as being cynical, but I certainly wasn't expecting Harribo to comment about it on here. The way I see it, I am providing a service and someone wasn't happy with said service, so I am trying to put it right, albeit a bit late.
