Out of curiosity - does anyone know what commission rates agencies generally charge?
Potentially a large incentive for some to go Indy I guess..

Don't know about incall but outcall agencies - Diamond, Direct2U etc will take £35-55 from the hourly rate, so the escort will earn £50-60 per hour, agency takes their cut then the rest to the driver.

The Thai agencies change 1/3, so take £50 out of the hourly rate of £150.
Strangely I’ve asked those who also have adultwork profile if I should come direct , but they said no . So I assume agency also run their adultwork page .

Agree... most agencies these days will be legit, Ltd companies... they also take much of the hassle of being an Indy out their hands. I imagine that many Indy's get loads of emails, texts, calls etc. (that end up coming to nothing) have to maintain AW or own website... do not underestimate how much effort that could take.  Although 30-40% may seem alot it needs to be balanced with the service offered by the agencies.

Also not all escorts are fulltime so just using an agency will be the easy option for them even if it means less income per booking

I could see an agency being of benefit if they can help with finding suitable accommodation etc but beyond this they’re just mooching

They take the risk on all that so the girl knows she will get paid a fixed amount for the clients she sees. If its quiet the agency loses money rather than the girl who still makes some money.

Also many of us lack the motivation or ability to do everything ourselves. I've worked both employed and self employed, self employed I can earn more per hour than employed but I've usually earned less because I don't have a sales team incentivised to bring me work.

I could agree that dealing with dozens  of idiots calling an SP who manage her own AW page can worth the fee taken by an agency who does that for the girls.

For punters it also convenient to be able to book a punt in minutes vs. trying to reach a girl via AW

The biggest downside of agencies is their ability to drive market price up and they are doing it insanely.

They behave as market makers and us, punters are the victims. Using Indy on AW is far better to divide to conquer, an impossible thing to do with agencies increasing fee by 50% a over the last 12 months

Yep almost all of them run by an agency or a bf , middle aged Thais not the most computer savvy.
