Author Topic: Proportion of Bisexual Females  (Read 969 times)

The Office For National Statistics' most recent research suggests 0.8% of women are bi.
My own research, based on a wholly unrepresentative sample of three, (my favourite WGs) suggests the figure is 100%.
Clearly my sample is too small to mean anything and is wrong. However, my instinct and experience suggest that the ONS figure is an underestimate, possibly a gross one.
Any thoughts, punters?

Offline Rockhead

I'd say that the number of women who are, or have been, bi-curious is a lot higher than 0.8%, but the ones who truly identify as bisexual - probably quite low.

Offline mrdiamond77

I think most female escorts that advertise as bisexual are gay for pay.

Yes my thoughts from decades of experience punting is many WGs advertise as bi in the hope of attracting turned on punters but aren't in reality. And some offer duos where it becomes obvious they aren't which is why research is always important though in my case I only want WGs to concentrate on me not each other.

I remember my ex reg's agency page originally said heterosexual for sexual orientation, but changed to bi after a couple of months.

I agree with those here who say WGs advertising as bi are 'gay for pay'. Yes, I've been in threesomes FFM, where obviously the girls were not into each other. That said, I personally know of five WGs who were genuinely bi, albeit with an ultimate preference for cock.
I think 0.8% is an underestimate; I'm wondering if anyone can shed light on just how much of an underestimate it is.

That's a difficult question to answer because 74.38671% of statistics are entirely spurious.

Offline ManinBeds

I'm sure it's a lot more than 0.8% my uneducated guess would be between 3% - 5%

women are odd, I've known two quite well who had had sexual experiences with other women that they enjoyed, and would be up for more if the opportunity arose, but both claimed to be straight and would answer any survey question accordingly. I've known others who claimed to be bi-sexual but seemed horrified by the idea of having sex with a woman. And I've met plenty of gay for pay types - which i think women find easier than most men would.

If you merge those stats with AW it would appear that most bisexual women become pro$$ies

The thing that most confuses me is WGs advertising as ' bi-curious ' .. I mean the WG says she is ' bi-curious ' and she possibly lives in a house with 3 or 4 other WGs who say they are also ' bi-curious ' ... and they have never thought of satisfying their curiosity ??

You shouldnt take too much notice of that. I queried with a lass why she alternated between straight and bisexual on a daily basis according to her profile. She told me that the default order in which profiles are shown in the results of searches was "last updated date" so she updated it every day and that was the  easiest thing to change.

This was a few years ago though so may not still be the case.

They are saying they are bi curious in the hope it will turn punters on who will then book them, its just marketing shit in many cases in my experiences.

I've generally assumed that bi-curious means gay-for-pay, not genuinely bisexual but not grossed-out by it.

It's quite likely that WG's aren't representative of the general population anyhow.  Most women are very picky about who they will have sex with, and WG's aren't.  So perhaps a lot of them genuinely don't have a gender preference either?

That's pretty much how I see it -but IMHO more likely how many extra £££'s they can get out of a punter for being "curious" with another girl

I think that's right; WGs aren't typical. Of the five genuinely bisexual prossies I've known, all were into BDSM (that's why I chose them) and were into various kinks; one a swinger with a monstrous libido, another on Fetlife and into all manner of submissive kinks, yet another with nymphomaniac traits etc, etc...
I'm sticking with my theory that 0.8% is a gross underestimate while agreeing with those who maintain that samples from the population of sex workers are unrepresentative of the general population.
