Seems high level politics is often more about behind the scenes coercion and other ways of unethical persuasion.

Fuck no, I'd be subjected to too many comparisons to Maggie Thatcher, or Theresa May.

I'm actually quite keen on the NZ/Aus model being adopted here in part: registering to practice, enforcement of monthly STD tests, and fines for unsafe practices (proveable lack of provision and use of condoms). Also while legalizing prostitution, I will still want to maintain illegality of pimps, madames, maids and such. While it would be legal to work in groups, no one should profit directly from prostitution unless they're also proven to be engaging in it. I very much hate the idea of people profiting off of other people's work unfairly (there's a whole separate rant there about CEOs and such).

But at the same time, making it illegal to evict someone who is a WG, and capping rents to only a fixed percentage above mortgage payments. Banning fees (as Scotland has done), and improving tenant's rights and protections. Which is mostly about reducing living costs for the growing rent generation, mainly occurring in big cities and especially in London.

And I'll stop now before I end up delving into other areas.

Students to fund their studies, graduate, move on.

I know a few who always had goals to raise the capital to develop a business outside this industry.

Single mums funding early childhood years when the work patterns of a regular job just do not work for them.

The problem with the NZ/Aus model is that condoms are mandated for everything - including oral. The laws do vary by state, but I think they all conform to that. Otherwise, it's a pretty sound idea.

Interesting story, but no happy ending. Still, she lived her life to the full, making the best of her opportunities.
