I suggest you reread what you just wrote because it makes zero sense.

And I said once a week or once a year.

If you test weekly then any infection will show up earlier

Most medical guidance is based partly on cost not just what is most efficient.

Hence why during Covid Film Productions were allowed with a clear PCR required before going on site and then Daily Lateral Flows.

Because it catches infections when they are lore symptomatic

Also look up the word Guideline, HCP regularly work outside of guidelines when they feel the need, that why they are called guidelines and not protocols.

Nobody tests weekly. The minimum window period for testing is 14 days. Even in the high risk bareback porn industry it is every 14 days. For an SP the minimum period for asymptomatic testing, would be one month and at least every 3 months. The latter being perfectly adequate.

Re Guidelines they are based on best practice, but by definition they allow flexibility unlike a protocol which is is rigid. For example my local provider of sexual service only allows a free testing kit every three months in line with the guidelines. This three monthly restriction is a protocol.

I repeat again how do you determine an SP's testing history? In any case you don't need to you just assume she may be infected and practice safe sex. Then you ensure you get yourself tested within the appropriate timescale.

I go to one of the best NHS clinics in the UK and have for 12 years. They recommend 12 weeks for us girls unless we have reason to believe we've been exposed. As I understand, they say this to gay men and punters too (we're all lumped into the 'at risk' group apparently).

I was honest when I caught something, but everyone's own health is their own responsibility- many won't warn people.

I'm personally happy with 12 weeks and I do OWO. Anyone who doesn't know the risks shouldn't be working or punting.

It depends on which country and area you're in.  Check External Link/Members Only to find out which provider covers your area.

There's links to some of the standard places on page 1 of this thread

Twelve weeks is the advice I've been given but I try to go sooner,  partly because provision is sparse in my area - appointments limited so if they cancel (has happened due to staff illness) it could be a few weeks until another can be offered. I've also supplemented with kits from Fettle but I struggle with the blood tests, so these are usually just oral and vaginal swab kits. Interestingly Flex Flow sell an at home gonorrhea and chlamydia lateral flow kit, noticed these whilst ordering covid-19 lateral flow tests.

Thinking about frequency testing more often surely only then takes it to the encounters between which could be borderline, rather than based on a whole tranche of activity, exposure, risk and time to develop. I could be wrong  :unknown:

The clinic I go to is a walk in. It's called Wishes (Edinburgh) if you are ever about this way. They are very knowledgeable and as I say, they tend to only suggest less time when you think you might have been exposed to something unusual. For a lot of that, you'd still need a few weeks before you know for sure.
