I do keep track cos that's how I avoid feeling guilty about the expense, I have my weekly "entertainment" budget and if I stick to that I'm ok. Over the last 322 weeks I've actually averaged 95p per week under budget, so I clearly need to get more extravagant with the 305 quid credit I've accumulated.

Forgetting my early forays some 15 + years ago - a handful of fairly crap punts in the UK out of the back of the local rag (thank you Mr Berners-Lee for the internet!) and a few fun sessions in the Red Light District in Amsterdam.  So I'm starting from £0 since separating from the missus this year - and in that time I've had 11 punts.

That includes one duo, one 1 1/2 hr session, one 2 hour session and in many cases paying for extras like filming, A levels etc.  Also in a couple of cases I've booked day use hotels so all totalled I've spent almost 2k averaging around £175 a punt. 

At least 50% of those have been bucket list punts one way or another and highly memorable (sometimes with vid's for the personal wank bank to boot) so I'm not complaining.

I've not kept records but since June last year I'd say between £2-3k, I'd guess at around 20-25 punts with between 10-15 girls, varying between 30mins and 2 hour punts.  My last was August and I've been out of action since because of injury.

I don't regret the money I've spent although some of them were rubbish.  Like others have said live for the day and don't worry about the cost unless the cost becomes unmanageable then you may have a problem.

Having said that, the boost in finances while I've been laid up has given me a different perspective on things and what i could've spent that money on.  That'll probably go out the window when I'm fighting fit.

Probably 10 - 12 k per year, but apart from surprisingly few poor punts (maybe due to the fact that I pride myself on doing good research), money well spent 
Probably less than I have spent on "wining and dining" civvies in hopes that have never cum to fruition 
My punting days are almost over due to my advancing years, but I have many great memories to look back on, and I don't regret a penny of what I have spent on, mostly good, WG's

I would estimate between 50k-100k over 10 years. I gave up keeping track years ago. My only regret....is that i haven't punted enough! As someone said on another thread (smiths?), punting as never been so cheap. I'm paying less, not just in real terms but nominally as well, than i was 10 years ago.

As a keen amateur, year to date is just over £2000 and about £3000 last year. Before that it was a very rare treat when I had spare cash.

I saw this thread and shivered, I started at 15 in the walkups and have been a weekly some times 3x and the odd special girl or parlour - party since. I still do a day/morning at the weekends and manage a few but pop only the once ..I am 55
To think of the cash that has gone into the slit machines Ive seen is like a horror movie

I've spent enough money to buy a small car on tattoos, and I've still got loads to ink in yet.  I could have 3 punts a month with my monthly tattoo spend.

I'm pennywise and pound foolish.

And I agree with Private Parts, we do want we want/feel like at the time, at that moment. There's no point looking back.

So how much does inking run to in an average year? Just curious, my canvas is clean at the moment and staying that way, but everyone to their own

The cost can be a one off price for one piece of work or an hourly rate for larger jobs like mine.

A year of inking for me will be £4440 roughly. I some times get an hour free (£120). This is with a good tattooer who is known in the industry. I'm not naming names though.

I agree, each to their own, my family think I'm insane. It's a good job they don't know about this hobby as I'm enough of a disappointment already.

Thanks, interesting, never realised that this was so costly a hobby although, like most things, the level of indulgence dictates. I suppose though that, one day, you will run out of space?

My first punt was July 1999 and since then I've done 546 different girls. Difficult to put a cost on it but I would hazard a guess at an average of £60 per punt, I'm looking at almost £33000. Ouch. That puts it into perspective.

Daz, you must be using a spreadsheet to keep tally of that lot. It's like a cricket score!

35 women or thereabouts a year is good going too, but £2K per year - sounds like a sensible budget.
