I conducted said experiment. Was asked for X amount, I said I could only lend Y (which was about 20% of what she was asking and a disposable amount I’m not going to miss) and arranged a date for her to return it, which was Friday just gone.

Friday came and went so I got in touch yesterday and got the ‘I haven’t got it but soon as I do I’ll give it you back’ treatment.

Absolutely predictable. I look forward to the next excuse!
Well that's very disappointing. I was hoping it wouldn't be the outcome that most here would expect. What a shame.

That article is from November last year, almost 6 months ago, have you not noticed the restrictions are easing off now.  :unknown:

I'm not sure what you mean by "watching  some  of  my  acquaintances", are you a sex worker?

BTW, discussing politics bring a minimum of a 7 day ban. Might pay you to familiarise yourself with the rules. -  https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=252680.0

If the WG asks you for money, only lend her a maximum of £20.
This will make her indebted to you, hopefully leading to a better service from her next time.
It's a small enough amount for the punter to 'write off'. A win-win situation.

I would disagree with that, if you really think lending an escort £20 is going to get you a better service I would say you have a lot to learn.

If an escort asks to borrow money refuse and don't see her again. If she is a regular and you know her quite well and you offer that is a different matter, though even then it is quite risky as it puts a totally different perspective on what should be a business arrangement.

I presume that there should have been a sarcasm emoticon after that?

How much use is £20 going to be?  The girl is likely to think you are taking the piss, particularly if she knows you can afford however much you have just spent to punt her.  Hardly likely to lead to a better service next time.

you could give a brass 2 grand and they wouldnt feel indebted to you so what good is £20 going to do

I have helped two regs out in the past. It was a trust thing as far as I was concerned when I gave them some money in advance of services to be provided as and when. Both girls ‘paid’ me back with no trouble and were even quite generous in the ‘interest’ they gave (ie extra time) without me expecting it or asking.

I am very cautious about who I lend money to generally; so far my judgement of people has not let me down.

Offline Elwaz74

I concur and have posted on this subject before, I have had similar positive experiences after lending money or advance payment to my regulars in the past. They often contact me to arrange a meet afterwards rather than me chasing them!! The trust is both ways and character judgement is important. Just as not every punter is the same, not all the SP are the same!

For £20 you can get a lot of groceries at Asda  :D

Yes, well spotted - It was a tongue in cheek post. Even daviemac didn't spot it. I thought it was obvious from the tone of the post.

I'm also cautious about lending money in general in both civilian and punting life. I would suffer from
worrying that I'll never get it back. I lent my brother money and never saw it again. We don't speak now.

A WG has never asked me for money. I like to think I'd keep things business like, but until it happens I'm
uncertain how I'll react.

However, both your positive experiences have caused me to re-assess my posture on this for a regular WG.
Maybe punters should trust their gut instincts on this, rather than having hard set rules.

Nothing is obvious on this site, you wouldn't believe what some people post then backtrack when they don't get the response they expected. You made a statement with no indication that it was anything other than what you believed to be true.

I lost a very good regular a few years back by saying no, to 500 quid, but would have probably done so anyway and 500 quid, the answer is earlier in the thread, if you are happy to give it, consider it a gift, if you get paid back in cash or kind it is a bonus.

My reason for saying no was she was working at 100/160 plus extras and it made no sense needing a days money, I since learned she gave most of it to a charity back home, and yes it was genuine, she showed me the payments during the discussion, and that made no sense to me either, look after yourself first then give what you can afford.  :unknown:

Being very generalistic, there are two types of punter.  Those who go for a p&d, and who need no emotional connection with the WG whatsoever.  And those who go for the more GFE type encounter.  The latter can fool themselves into thinking that the WG really is a friend (whereas WGs usually keep a big divide between friends and clients).  In such cases, trusting your gut instincts can go very wrong.  If you are thinking about loaning a WG money, you need to be asking yourself, how well do I really know this girl?  If she turned her work phone off tomorrow, would you be able to contact her?

The best motto is never to loan anything you can't afford to lose.  If you start off by assuming that you will never see it back, then you won't be disappointed, just pleasantly surprised if you do.

And even if you are quite happy to never see it back, some people can react very badly to feeling indebted to you.  The wrong word can make it feel like you are rubbing it in.  You may end up losing a friend, not just the money.

You really do need to be very very careful who you lend money to.

I think I have posted this before several years ago.  I had a regular who I saw very frequently at the time, a lovely girl giving great service.  She asked for a loan for a believable reason and I agreed on the basis that repayment would be a certain number of meets.  The rate per meet worked out that it would be around 6 (cannot remember exactly) very cheap punts.  Worked like a dream.

A while later she asked to do the same again and I agreed.  Added bonus that she met me in a cafe to hand over the loan, she was a very attractive young lady who came in wearing a pair of leather trousers and turned every male head in the place - yes very shallow but it was an ego boost when she sat at my table.  Although I suspect they all thought she was my daughter... :(

Anyway this time it did not go to plan - she became increasingly difficult to book and I had the impression she was prioritising those paying cash rather than repaying me.  I just got fed up with it and after a while I moved onto other WGs - from memory I did get most of the promised punts but it was very difficult.

I would not do that again - I was younger and more naive back then.

Offline Mr_Shins

My real friends don't demand that I give them money as a condition of meeting up with them. Nothing wrong with expecting money for doing your work - I wouldn't turn up at work if they wouldn't pay me, no matter how nice they are.

If my regular wants money, then she has to give me the service in exchange for it.

I'm another mug who lent a WG - now retired, I think; this was 7 or 8 years ago - £1,000, which she said she'd 'repay' over 3 months by not charging me her £350 fee for the next three of the regular monthly Overnights I had at hers.

Another SP I was seeing at the time kind-of bet me that it'd take six months for the debt to be discharged. And, of course, she was right; it did.

No wonder that shortly after the debt had been 'discharged', I recovered from the EAS I'd had for the SP who'd borrowed the money; and the SP who'd won our little bet became my new Regular. But that was only on the basis that I was never to show any symptoms of EAS for her. And I haven't.

Maybe next time a regular WG asks you for money, ask for some collateral in exchange.
Something the same value as the loan, say some gold or other jewellery.
Once the debt is paid in full, return the item to her.
If she says 'How do I know you'll return it', then it means she doesn't trust you but expects
you to trust her. In which case don't lend her the money.

:D

Or just say "I'm not in a position to be able to help at the moment." I'd suggest that shenanigans like these could ruin a punting arrangement that was working perfectly well for no good reason.

A few years ago I “lent” a regular £250 supposedly towards their rent with the promise of the cash being repaid when her children went back to school so she could work again , when schools started up I waited a couple of weeks and sent her an AW mail trying to book her , message read but not answered , tried ringing her mobile but number was no longer in service , wrote the money off and kicked myself.
About a month later received an AW mail from her asking me to pop round hers , arranged a time that afternoon arrived and was invited in , as soon as I got through the door she apologised and said she didn’t answer my AW mail as she didn’t have the cash and was embarrassed , she had £100 she could give me now (and did) and would I accept her working the remaining balance off on a £50 off her hourly rate for our next three meetings (her rate was £100/hr) obviously I agreed .
Our next three meetings were indeed @ £50 an hour .
I continued to see her for the next year and a bit until she stopped being an SP , the last time I saw her as a punter I had arranged to be her last client and she said she would like that , my hours booking @ 15:00 ended up with it being an overnighter (children at the ex’s for the weekend) for which she would only accept the £100 rate saying after the first hour it was her choice to extend it .
So would I do it again ? TBH no , after my initial feeling that I had lost a very good escort I wouldn’t want to feel that again , there are certainly some genuine honest ladies out there but it isn’t worth the risk .
If I found anther lady I built a similar rapport with I would rather just give them the cash than loan it

With this overnighter included, did you eventually end up getting more than £250 worth of services from her ?

That depends on the kind of relationship you had with them. I’d help a couple of girls I’ve met without question. Others certainly not. They are human and have needs like anyone. It comes down to trust. I’ve helped not expecting anything back.. I doubt that’s the case for most. If they go the extra mile for you why not. That’s very rare though.

Revisiting this post…

With the lockdown easing, and with most adults getting at least single jabbed, and with end of furlough coming - I think it’s the perfect timing and excuses for some SWs to re-emerge.

Hence a few unsolicited messages appeared in last few weeks - some more direct, but one or two more friendly, suggesting a coffee or drink.

I did meet up with one for a coffee - and surprise surprise - after some nice casual catch up conversation, it rapidly moved to “let’s meet up properly” soon and frequently, before moving to “covid has been so tough on my financial situation”…

I politely declined - but thought would be good to remind some people the moral of this story!

Well obviously you have decent relationships with these individuals.

COVID has also made a lot of people reflect on their lives and situations. I reckon that if they made an approach that they are after something, you just need to be clear about what you expect out of any such deal. They may no longer want to be a FT SP. They may not want to advertise and deal with all the nuisance callers and are open to a private relationship.

Or did they just ask you for money?

This is slightly off topic; but I see it as fitting because the SP in question - a former Regular - rang my punting phone out of the blue some months ago.

One of her friends - presumably seeing a source of easy money - had told my once-Regular that she wanted to become an SP and how did she go about getting started. My former Regular gave her some tips but then rang me to see if I'd be prepared to receive a call from her friend to give her the punters' perspective. I wasn't doing much at the time so I said, "Well, go on then."

This potential SP was hopeless,  imo. She hadn't a clue about how to market herself; which type of punters she wanted  - the SP who'd referred her to me is definitely in the category of MILF/GILF providing GFE. Trying to get that kind-of idea across to her was impossible; she came across as a right know-it-all. And quite aggressive, with it.

I seriously hope that between my former Regular and me, we've put her friend off the idea because she'll have the dustiest phone in the country if she starts off with that attitude.

Perhaps it's a slightly different example of why when an SP asks for a favour - of any sort, the default response ought to be, "No."

Some of the fluffiest white knight shit I've ever read on this thread. As someone else said previously, only ever lend money if you're prepared to lose it. That goes for friends, families, prossies etc.

I saw a SP about 4 times over 2 months a few years ago. On the last visit she said she needed somewhere to stay for a few weeks when her current lease ran out and whether I could put her up. I said sure contact me later in the week. Finished the punt, left and blocked her number. As soon as them lines start getting blurred man up and get the fuck out.

I'm not doubting some SPs do genuinely need help and see some regular decent customers as someone who might be able to help... however id warrant there are plenty of SPs and people in life more likely to take your money and run so if this happens dont cry later!
