The financial requirements are far too high and the need to return test is almost impossible to dodge for them. You shouldn't take it personally Mr Goldberg, I seriously doubt it was all a government conspiracy to unsettle you and deprive you of your creature comforts. Buy hey, Birmingham is not that far away, just a quick drive up the M40, or a comfy ride on the train.

Thai Attendance at the Thai Temple in SW London has dwindled significantly in the last three to four years especially at the big festive events. I was told that a lot of London based Thais are reluctant to appear in public at these events because of Home Office surveillance, they are also shunning social contact with other Thais in case they get shopped.

A lot of the Chinese ones tend to be students or pretending to be and only a few advertise on aw. The rest are on Chinese only websites and they are quite suspicious if non Chinese punters ask. Also govt is looking for Chinese investment so probably turn a blind eye

Yep - immigration cracking down on these fake student visas. When they apply to go to some dodgy English language school in a tower block in stains with 6 English schools registered at the same address they get politely informed that there are thousands of English schools in their own country with native speakers, not least from the British Council and that they have no need to come to the UK for that. Ed Visas are for expensive schools and Unis now more or less, and if they can afford that, they are not going to be whoring themselves for 60 quid for a pump and facial.
