Generally, in my experience,
Foreign prossies here are nothing like prossies in their home countries (other than facially, and even then, only “wok-faced” Thais. The mental attitude it takes to get here, live here and survive seems to change them).
There’s no standard ‘venue’ similarity. (e.g. SWs here tend to be scrags, in Geneva, respectable, in Hong Kong nicer than in parlours).
There’s little similarity across Asia, other than Thailand-Philippines (where AC is close to a gigantic enormous humungous Patpong).
A few other places I’m familiar with:
Japan is so different it could be another planet. Highly refined, highly priced, big gap between Japanese and Japanese-lookalike. Paradoxical flirtatiousness of civvies combined with polite paranoia of foreigners.
Cambodia, mostly uneducated and clueless, can be hard to get rid of them, not pretty but quite sweet. Contrast to Cambodian Chinese ‘chicken farms’ (pump’n’dump slot-machine style).
Singapore, fast lane stuff, we’ll-organised, irrespective of original ethnicity.
Hong Kong of course may have changed with Chinese full handover. Loved staying there before, mainland not the island, eat noodles, fuck, watch HK grindhouse movies, fuck some more, immerse in culture.
These are big generalisations, almost caricatures, and exclude the backwater places, and just my impression from different visits at different times. My own rule-of-thumb. Enjoy.
