Hepatitis 'B' vaccination

Following on the thread about the HPV vaccination, how many of you guys have thought about getting the Hepatitis B vaccination?
I was offered it at the Clap Clinic in the course of a check up last month and took it.
Why? Because there's a lot of talk about rimming on UKP which I, personally, find pretty minging ( but each to his own) and I wouldn't want to pick up the virus from a prossie who'd just rimmed some guy.
Punting is not risk free, but I sure try to minimise the risks. Still do OWO, though, and that carries a slight risk.

Ive got hep A & hep B jabs years ago, courtesy of an old employer, also got shots for rabies, sore as f*** as the jab is like silicon sealent going into your arm, I could see the nurse struggle to push the syringe.

Was recommended to have it only because of getting OWO from WG's. Looking on the net the 3 over 6mths seems to be the NHS recommended norm but for some reason the clinic I go to does it over a much shorter period, preferaby 2nd 1 wk after 1st, 3rd after further 2 weeks. I've no idea why 

Done 1 &2, trying to find opportunity to get there for third now. Didn't hurt, just a bit of an ache for a few hours.

I've only recently been involved in OWO I will try and look into this jab OWO carries a whole host of risks Hep B is relatively rare with OWO its the herpes, gonorrhoea and syphilis that you need to watch for when engaging in OWO and for those their is no vaccine. I just avoid girls who provide rimming or who like to receive it way too risky for me.

Apparently there are different kinds of vaccine and they are administered differently. Anyway, box ticked.

Depends on the clinic.  Just tell them you use escorts and they'll probably consider you as a higher risk and offer it.

I've been punting for 25+ years, I've fucked and been sucked by 100s of pro$$ies, and never got fuck all from having OWO. I do though get routinely tested at the GUM every 3 months.

The risk is from tongue fucking arseholes as they are of course full of shit.  Just like the pro$$ies the arseholes are attached to.

I thought HepA is transmitted by faeces and HepB by body fluids
so if you wanted protection for rimming it would be HepA you'd need

I know people who had A and B and its pretty serious shit
(A from poor hygene while camping and B from a thai wife)

Worth getting the jabs if you think you're at risk, esp if you go shagging in Asia

I got the Hep B jabs last year. I'm not really into rimming, but I went to the clinic for a checkup and as I'd been seeing a transsexual girl casually (not a prossie) they offered it to me.

The first injection turned my arm numb for 10 minutes or so, but the others were fine. Glad I got it done though - the blood test came back showing the immunity had taken and it's one less thing to worry about for a while.

Had the third , done this time in the other arm and seems to be more a round mark than a normal needle. Told to sit for ten minutes before leaving to ensure OK. Not told that for 1 & 2. Just got me wondering what's in the different stage jabs.

Anyway OK no probs and didn't hurt. They will check for immunity next time routine visit.

I've just had my third shot (each two weeks apart) and they've put me on a callback list for a booster in one year, and another ten years hence. I'll be 68 by then so probably won't be needing it! However if your course was over ten years ago, go get a booster. Note the GUM clinic gave it to me free because I punt. If I'd gone to my GP because I needed it for foreign travel I'd have been charged.

The combined hep A/B is free from your doctor's. It's a couple of injections over a 2 week period with a booster after a year. Just had mine as I'm off to Thailand next month.

I had the three separate jabs, but when they did the blood test it hadn't taken, so got to do it again. This time they are giving a double dose i.e. a jab in each arm at each of the three visits. Think it's worth it for peace of mind.

Why take the risk when its freely available. I get checked every year and so far haven't needed a boost. But its always checked.

Err thats what I told my GUM and that prompted me to get the hepB. As they are aware they check that it still working every visit. You really need to be honest with them. I know middle age man fesses up to shagging WGs half his age you feel awkward- yes I did and pleased I fessed up as well and I did feel awkward, but for the sake of my health ....................................

If you admit to rimming pristitutes you will certainly be advised to have a HepB vaccine.

Yes I've had it, good idea if you're a punter, and also good if you travel to Thailand and PI.
