Currently developing a new business, one of the other directors is a new acquaintance, early 50's, never married, serial entrepreneur, Ferrari driver, a complete 'TWAT' IMHO.
However, when he told me a storey about the sale of his first business, I couldn't help but believe him. He'd been in negotiations for months with a large 'household' name company to by the firm and they just couldn't agree on his exit package, they had tried all the nicey nicey talks over meals, even treated him to a day at Palmer Sport while discussing business, great day for any petrol-head.
Finally agreed terms over dinner in a fancy London hotel with a board director of the purchasing company, he had agreed to forego some back claim and the other guy had paid for a suite in the hotel and 2 WG's for the evening.
This shit definitely happens it's about knowing what buttons to push.
