A bit of a strange one.

Someone sent me their contact list via WhatsApp. I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose but it was not an easy mistake to make. I had (now deleted) the list of all his contact, which included punters and WG (and a few others).

Has someone else had that yesterday? No further message or contact from this person. Not in my contact list but WhatsApp says the name is VIP Escorts, which I don't use and I go with independent. Certainly not for 10+ years. Likely genuine mistake and hopefully not a blackmail...

Are VIP still operating in Nottingham?

So the number it came from was in your phone as VIP? Hopefully you use a punting phone, so shouldn't be to much of an issue.....
I'd be tempted to message back to be honest

Just goes to show why a punting phone is an absolute must. It does beg the question - if you've never called the number, how did they get yours? Are punter phone numbers being passed around?

Well, VIP Escort is back.

They used the old contact list and created a group in WhatsApp. Also send me a WhatsApp message telling me the same.

Strangely enough also had a missed call from an unknown mobile number. Quick google search yield a number from an escort that I have not seen before.

What I have learnt:

Use a punting phone

If you don't use it, then make sure in your WhatsApp you don't use your real photo. Also use your initial or fake name as your "name".

Your number get stored in the pimp's phone (probably forever). I think VIP is the agency for my first ever punt back more than 10 years ago (before I discover UKP).

Anyway hopefully they won't try and contact me again.

With so many accounts and apps being linked, you've got to be a very special kind of stupid not to use a punting phone.
