I read a book recently - sorry cant recall the title - but it was talking about the things we are likely to do in certain situations. The researchers ran an experiment where they asked people certain questions when they were aroused (after watching porn) and not aroused. The results showed a shocking difference in opinions. When aroused people said they would be much more likely to (amongst other things) engage in risky or illegal behaviour including things they’d specifically said they wouldnt do when not aroused. So to “answer” your question, according to that experiment, we’re probably all much more likely to say “fuck it” and ride it out than we might imagine.
