AdultWork are now refunding all VAT chargea since 20% increase.

I've a couple of Escort friends who have advised me that they both got refunds for 20% vat AW used to charge for displaying number and they 20% they took from private gallery's.

Something has happened either in Law or they have been charging girls incorrectly. Previously they automatically added 20% unless you proved your a UK business and filled a form in.
Christmas come early the one girl got over £300 back as she's displays number and makes herself Avaliable

I would have thought they would have offset their AW expenses just like hotels, and travel against their earnings when they do their tax return.
Or is the VAT in addition to the tax returns that all full time WGs do at this time of year?

VAT threshold is £85000 pa. How many WGs declare that much in order to be VAT registed?

It means there's a thread on UKE about it, where they say when they get the VAT refunds any credits they had on their account disappear.

I don't know the ins and outs of it, I'm not really interested in their financial situation. From what I gather they get refunded the VAT they've paid but then the credits they had disappear. I haven't followed the thread so I don't know if it's been resolved or if it's an ongoing problem.

Just thought the info might be useful to the OP as he was interested enough to start a thread about it.There's 8 pages of it for anyone who's bothered about it.

the girls get credits for photo/video sales, which they can withdraw for cash. Due to the fees involved its only cost effective to withdraw when the credits read around £150 or more
However, those credits are mysteriously disappearing at the same time as the VAT get refunded, some girls are losing a couple of hundred quid. AW have form for this kind of shit, one of their tricks is to arbitrarily cancel/delete accounts when the credits get to a value where they are worth withdrawing.
Yet another way in which AW is just a big scam
