Available Today and Nationality

Well, clearly this lockdown is starting to get to me as I decided to fill some time playing with the Adultwork Search engine. 

I hope that some of you may find the below interesting and I would be interested in your theories ....

As of about 4pm this afternoon this is the state of play across the UK:

A total of 17,718 profiles exist when using the filters: Female  &  Escort +

of those, 1,428 are shown as Available Today by adding the filter: Available Today

That means about 8% of profiles are shown as Available Today. 

If I break those numbers down by nationality - I have gone for the 4 main nationalities I believe:

Nationality            Total #              Available Today           Percentage within nationality             Percentage of all
British                    8,963                        393                         4%                                                   27%
Romanian               1,450                        298                        21%                                        21%
Brazilian                    959                        208                        22%                                        15%
Polish                        626                        101                        16%                                         7%

Obviously this is only reflecting the status of girls who are turning on their green lights and I am sure there are many who are working whilst keeping it off HOWEVER it does seem to indicate that British SP's are taking this situation far more seriously ......

Could the Romanian %age be even higher as they seem very reluctant to disclose their nationality in some quarters (or maybe that deceit isn't possible on AW)?

Interesting thought and I don't know how strict the verification process is. I thought I read somewhere that they needed to show a passport photo 

I was thinking along the lines of the foreign girls being stuck in the UK with bills to pay and no other means however I am sure many of the British girls are in a similar situation albeit stuck in their own homes.

The fact that over 1 in 5 Romanian and Brazilian SP's are continuing to work as opposed to 1 in 25 British girls is a staggering difference

Why are you tracking this?

I've no intention of punting while there's a lockdown in place and probably not for longer until I see how the rate of infection picks up, which it will.  We will probably have another lockdown in July/August.

My three fave/regulars all are distancing themselves from the trade just now.
 One in particular is doing so by staying abroad having had a lengthy far eastern trip prior to the Lockdown.

I give thanks for this and give myself a bit of a pat on the back for identifying such intelligent women to visit.

The other nationalities (Brazillian and Rom) tend to work from parlours/brothels and are not independent so do they even have a say in the matter as to whether they want to work or not compared to british SPs? There may be less of a financial cushion to rely on i.e Benefits, relatives, place to stay etc so it's hard to make conclusions based off those numbers alone.

Surely this is something AW should be looking into.  I’ve read their anti slavery statement they are against trafficked girls and pimps and work closely with the police on this

Yes they will SAY this but nothing beats the lure of money for AW.

A somewhat fake news conclusion given that many more Brits than any other nationality are working.  Brits are more likely to have alternative employment options and welfare available and as mentioned, Romanians (or whatever nationality they claim) and "Brazilians" on AW are more likely to be here specifically as sex workers.  Given the choice I'm sure many would go home or not work.

I have been searching locally each day for "available todays" just out of interest. The same search has averaged 13 returns, which were roughly 60% British and 40% EE but very few tourers.

In the past week the number has gone up to about 18 with the increase being tourers.

Another point to consider, mainly for the British Wgs, is they are using the green availability light to get interest on their extra content/cam.

I've noticed a few times some Brits on my HL have had green lights on, a look on their profile and it states cam only atm.

An identical search for  an area within a 16-mile radius of CB1 (Cambridge city south) brings up 121 escorts of whom just three have their green light on.
Of those three, one Brit who offers camming only,and two Roms, one of which has a 'currently unavailable ' profile.
So <1% definitely available for actual meeting.
Suggests that there must be huge regional variation.

Of some of the more common nationalities of SPs, there seems to be a common approach by the leadership in those countries that could possibly influence the SPs' risk assessment here.

Russia's and Brazil's leaders have regularly denied they have a problem whilst the spiralling official statistics would suggest otherwise and Romania have already removed the lockdown restrictions.
