I went back to ASDA for a top-up of generic viagra Sildenafil-Nitrate this morning. No appointment made. I parked my car at 8.45 and was back in my car by 9am with 4 x 4-packs @ £5 per pack. So £1.25 each.

It was the same guy who dispensed for me last year, but now he knew his way round the system and it was slick.

What do you guys actually say to the pharmacist to get the tablets.

"I'd like to speak to the pharmacist about the ED service".

They take you into a private room and go through a questionnaire on the computer. Just say you cannot maintain an erection without viagra or equivalent, go through the other general health questions and say you are happy with a generic ED drug. They can prescribe up to 4 packs of 4 tablets. Feel free to give your genuine details, they don't contact you or your GP - but they recommend you tell your GP yourself.

Thanks bud. Im going there tonight and stocking up.

The price difference between llloyds and asda is too much to justify just becuase of my shyness.

Just make sure theres no one around that i know.

Since it's obviously not a branch you've visited before for this service, it might be as well to check that there will be a pharmacist on duty *and* that it is one who is able (and willing) to provide the ED service. I read somewhere that individual pharmacists are able to opt-out but that every branch has at least one pharmacist who is trained and willing to provide the service. The store numbers are available on the ASDA website.

Of course if it's not far out of your way it's worth just turning up.

As a result of reading this thread, I called a (nearly) local branch of Asda, and was told that I would need an appointment. Duly made, and had a fairly brief consultation in a tiny room. Was offered 50mg or 100mg Sildenafil in packs of 4 for £9/pack. Asked if it was OK to cut 100mg in half - was told that they couldn't recommend, it was up to me. Completed a short on-line form, with false name and address (no ID required) and left with 2 packets of 4x100mg. Checked on cutting pills online later - as they are film coated, there can be issues with some medication, but I couldn't find any reference to Sildenafil. Have cut one in half, and used both halves - no side effects, and had the desired effect . I don't think it would be possible to cut them into quarters, there's a certain amount of crumbling, and I think you'd end up with mostly dust.

I`ve cut the 100 mg pills in to quarters, they are film coated and the first one I did was abit of a mess but I did it over a sheet of paper to collect the dust with I used first ( I`ve a small Marks and spencers strong mint tin I keep em in  :D :D)  . I  found useing a very fine serated sharp knife cutting almost though then breaking the half`s in to quarters just before use best. Ive found best on completely empty stomach and NO alchol. when I had a glass of wine this stoped it working . I dont think they give me such a good result as the Llyods pills but are much cheaper, Kamagra I found the most powerful but with a killer head ache.
sorry for long post :hi: :hi:

Just got 8 x 50mg Sildenafil Actavis tabs from my nearest ASDA superstore.

No probs getting through the patient questionnaire which, for the record, the answers to all need to be 'no'

The pharmacist was really unsure about the whole process and ended up charging me just £2.30 for the 8 tabs which I'm guessing is an error as it seems too cheap.

Meant to say I was asked whether I'd prefer the pukka Viagra tabs or would be happy with generic alternative. I was given no other choices beyond that. So afaik this is the only generic option. I did see on the screen that he had the choice of prescribing the 100mg dosage which, when I asked, he said would be an option if I find that the 50mg tabs aren't effective enough. And, yes, will update when I've given them a go. :)

Offline ForrestGump

Would appreciate hearing from folks who've taken the ASDA generic viagra (Sildenafil Actavis). Specifically related to how long after taking a tab it remains effective. I'm aware that a tab needs to be taken about an hour before it's needed. But am not sure how long I'll have before it's effectiveness wears off.  :unknown:

At Asda do they test your blood sugars when seeing the pharmacist?

I am diabetic and having problems getting my sugars down but working with doctor on it.

Embarrassed to talk to doctor about down below (stupid I know) but OK to see Asda phamacist.

So do they take a sugar reading?

My advise is pop a couple of pain killers at the same time, i used to get killer headaches before this advise was given to me from a fellow member, now nothing.

Thanks Y123. Will take your advice on that.

It makes me recall an unsuccessful attempt at sex from many years ago with Mrs G. It was the morning after we'd been out to a party. I had a bit of a hangover but in spite of that was feeling horny and in getting a boner (when it was much easier) it somehow instantly kicked off the mother of all headaches. I guess it was to do with the sudden change in blood pressure or something like that. Either way it did nothing for my ardour. The pain was too intense for me to continue.  :(

The ones I was given are Sildenafil Tiva. Seems that there's some variation between different Asda branches...

My reference to cutting them was also based on the information that I found about film coated tablets. Some are film coated to ensure that they reach the gut while the film is still intact, some to ensure slow release etc. I did keep the crumbled stuff and try to keep them in equal halves as far as possible. I guess with a bit of care, quarters are possible, but that wasn't my only concern.

Anyway, both halves of the first one successfully deployed, so that's good  :P

...and if you want to buy the 100mg version, possibly for cutting them in half tell them that you've had 50mg pills last time and you found that you had to take two of them just to get any kind of effect.
The pricing seems really random - different people talking about being charged different prices.  I paid £2.50 per 4 pills the first time and £9 for the quantity of the same pills the second time.

No blood sugar test for me. However be aware that the health questions you'll be asked include ones related to history of diabetes, blood pressure, heart probs and, I think, unexplained faintness. It's, of course, up to you to decide how you're going to answer those questions. But I suspect if you don't answer 'no' to all of them I'm guessing it'll result in your request for ED meds being denied with the advice to go and see your GP for a prescription instead.

Popped half a 50mg tab this morning since mrs G was in the mood for a 'lie in'.  :)

Didn't take pain killers with it mostly because I wanted to see if it did actually prompt a headache. Took the tab with a large glass of water.

It worked very well and was effective within just 30 minutes of taking it.

No headache, racing heart or redness in the face but I did experience quite strong acid reflux. Or that's what it felt like anyway. It felt odd to have acid reflux on an empty stomach. It's something I only occasionally get if I've pigged out and have an overfull stomach.

Tested effectiveness later on after another couple of hours (3 hours after taking the tab) by watching some porn. Was able to get a boner without as much effort as I'd normally expect. Not a very scientific experiment but gives me an idea of the results I can expect.

As an aside the tab was very easy to split in half without making it crumble using a sharp craft knife blade.

After reading through this thread popped into the local Asda. Pharmacist on duty was a woman and wasn't qualified to prescribe Viagra. She gave me directions contact numbers and who to ask for at another  local store.
10 minutes later at the next store after asking for the pharmacist, was taken into a small consulting room.  A 5 minute consultation and filling in the form on line, (all the answers should be no) I paid £9 for a pack of 4 50mg Sildenafil Tiva. 100 mg available next time if I want them.  Only needed to take my name and address (fake) no blood pressure or blood sugar tests involved. The name stays on the data bank so no problem for a repeat purchase.

Unfortunately you still need to go through the consultation bullshit each time you go back for more pills, even if they still have your name on the database.

Yes but it took 10 minutes, so no biggie...

I have thrown away the boxes so can't supply a photo but blister packs show these are Sildenafil TEVA. To be clear, TEVA is the manufacturer, not part of the "formula".

Why the hell at only 23yo would you even think of using viagra ? at that age i could not keep it down and could (when very lucky did) bang away alnight !

I'd second that. At 23, I was rock hard and getting it up three or four times a night.

hey guys came across this thread a few days ago, and had to put it to the test,

contacted local asda superstore, had to make an appointment with pharmacist. couple days later.

take consultation, on-screen questionnaire, once complete, was offered 4x Sildenafil 50mg for £2.50 or 4x Viagra for £10.

pharmacist went on to explain they were like beans lol HP etc and would do same job.

Having checked other online pharmacies fair play to asda for sure.

from what the pharmacist was saying your good unless the erection remains for 4 hours, at that stage it can be dangerous and you should go to A&e and get it drained.

Having gone through the thread, it's indicative that generic Sildenafil is about £2.50 whereas the Pfizer branded Viagra is £10 for a 4x50 mg pack.

Was anyone offered Tadalafil instead of Sildenafil after the consultation ?

Went to ASDA this week to get sildenafil.
As the previous posters have said, consultation was quick and easy and cost £ 9 for 4 pills of 100ml.

Other Points to Note:-

They did want my (real) full name, DOB and address. They note this down on your NHS records. They looked up my details on NHS register so had to give them real details. Pharmacist explained that they need this info incase something happens to you and the hospital/doctor etc. needs to see what medication youve taken. Pharmacist told me all this info is completely confidential and you wont receive any letters or phonecalls to your home address or your GP.

I told Pharmacist I had previously bought Lloyds Pharmacy Viagra at 100ml and wanted to try the cheaper ASDA. In saying this, ASDA were happy to give me 100ml sildenafil, not the 50ml.

ASDA policy is to give a Max. of  16x 100ml sildenafil every 8 weeks.

Yup! I didn't have a problem giving up my personal info to the pharmacist when it was explained that it was confidential. I think the app on the computer in the ASDA that I went to was so out of date that it didn't even have a record of my local GP's practice, which had moved locations about 3 years ago. Furthermore I don't think the pharma had the ability to call up my NHS record. Or if he did it wasn't apparent to me even though I could see the screen just as well as he could.

The Pharmacist told me the info was confidential and for health reasons, which is understandable.

I clearly told him that I didnt want this information going out anywhere and did not want to be contact at home or by GP or by anyone else. He told me the info was confidential.

If your going ASDA then to put you at ease, ask the pharmacist if the info is confidential,.

Its famous for a reason I would say.

Viagra is like any other medicine - best taken only when you really need it.  It can have side effects, sometimes quite serious, which is why it is a prescription only drug, and you should have a proper medical check first.  Obviously, if you need it you weigh up the risks against the benefits and then get a prescription, but if you start using it when you don`t need it you may find that when you DO need it either it no longer has enough benefit or you are no longer suitable for it.

I can`t take any of the Viagra, Ciallis type remedies because of a previous cardiovascular condition, but even at my age I can still manage 45 minutes of good honest copulation and so should you.

And before you ask, 84

I am 55 and do find the stuff help full in evening and day time shags Ive scale my dose of 100mg down by ctting the pills to 15-20 mg size although they turn to dust in cutting the power is digested quicker.
One note which I will say is after use one I`m ok in a few hours for no2 and the night stiffey can be a bit annoying    I`ve a younger other half who takes advantage ( she encouraged the use and likes effect of it ) of this but I admit to being absolutly knackared if I use a shag a couple of times with the stuff it only helps with the boner not your fitness :drinks:

Hi Guys
I have skimmed all of the posts in this thread and make me wonder why people want to order generic Viagra from ASDA?? It seems the price that people have got is random but the general consensus is that about £9 for 4x100mg. A few people get it for less than £5 but this is random and few have not confirmed whether this is 50mg or 100 mg??

I just tried Doctorfox (Uk registered phramacy as they claim)
External Link/Members Only
I got the following

Erectile dysfunction tablets

Prescription Fee £3.00

Sildenafil 100mg 8 tablets £17.80
Sub-total:   £20.80
VAT:   £0.00
Delivery (EU only) to    £2.90
Currency Converter Promotion code? Total:   £23.70

As you see the total price for 8x100mg generic Viagra is £23.70 in comparison to £18.00 in ASDA.
What have I missed here ? I could easily see that £23.70 is higher than £18.00, but here there is no need for bullshit consultation, no need for traveling (e.g time and fuel)  and you get it at the comfort of your keyboards. What I have been missing here guys ??

Below are few examples of people who got it for around £9 in ASDA.

Went to ASDA this week to get sildenafil.
