Quite a relevant post to me, having recently been given an insight from the other side of the fence.

A couple of weeks back i was working from home on the same day as my cleaner was cleaning the house; like an idiot I left the lap-top open on the dining room table displaying AW as I went to the kitchen to make a coffee. TBH I'd completely forgotten that the cleaner was in as she doesn't chat or anything, just gets on with the job quickly and efficiently - so it was a shock and a double-take moment when I walked back in to see her standing by the table, hands on hips!

As background, she is mid-30's, Polish, been in the UK for about 10-years. She never says much other than usual pleasantries as her work ethic is to get the job done ASAP then move on to the next house.

Anyhow, the look on her face clearly reflected her opinion of me "you look at that shit?" she asked. Well obvioulsy i denied it was what she thought, with some hairbrained story how a friend had spotted someone we both knew working on their so asking my opinion as to whether i thought it was her......... clearly, I wasn't believed, or if i was it was ignored as I then was subjected to a five-minute screamed monologue as to how amongst her friends in the London Polish community some had been forced to become sex workers to meet bills (usually rent), how they hated it, were exploited by "fat-pig Englishmen" (clearly she meant me), though she did go off on a tangent that many Polish men preferred to pimp than to work - anyhow, it ended with her throwing the door keys at me and storming out mid-clean (leaving me to finish it!) and I've not heard from her (or the agency despite my leaving a message) since.

Ok i know i was an idiot and incredibly unlucky that she should have taken the 5 minutes that i was out of the room to go to the dining room and to look at my lap-top (which does make me wonder what else she looked at/went through when I wasn't around)....... but it was something of a reality check that not all of the WG's are in it to fund shopping trips, or drugs etc but instead opening their legs as they can earn 10 times the hourly rate that I paid my cleaner, therefore enabling them to support their families..........

Anyone know any good cleaner agencies in West London? Mine now seems to have blacklisted me....

When a person has experience or knowledge of the other side of the fence, they can have very strong reactions. Some probably many women are in sex work against their will, hate or resent it. I see posts on forums which back this up, which will be the tip of the iceberg.

The benefits situation is an interesting one, I have clients who use the money others would spend on nights out, latest technology, cigarettes whatever on a booking. Many would consider that very controversial, just as they would paying for sex full stop.

Yes I had choices at the time I took the one which attracted me.

Survival sex is that a business, or is it a person trying to do the best they can with what they have got?

I could easily say it's not common, but truely I do not know.

I do know when I was out 'partying' I would go anywhere there was an afterparty, anywhere I could drink for longer and access other substances whether I paid for them in cash or they were offered for free. No thought to my own safety, or what may (and sometimes did happen).

Very grey area SS, and I'm not sure if it's serving a political purpose. I just don't know.

…………. I must admit that was my conclusion too; had she not stormed off I was toying with the idea of offering her a ton for some "over-time" as she was a decent looker TBH.... but hey-ho.

@paper7 sorry to read life dealt you such a bad hand with the disability mate. I'll say a prayer that somehow you receive some of the sweet female attention that you need.

... I thought Jesse was talking bollox. I thought he was implying most escorts are traumatized. ...

Like you say my post must have been poorly written.  With regard to UK escorts right now, I think the opposite.   A recent survey found sex workers have high job satisfaction, compared to regular civvy workers.

Like you, it's my personal experience that escorts enjoy their work (& Im not good looking or young).  A few weeks back I read a post from a SP on here (Laura) saying she preferred sex with middle aged men much less attractive than her, as when she was with young fit clients, it could make her feel insecure, and she enjoyed it less. Quite a few women are like that.

The point I was trying to make though, is that Escorting is only a good job for an individual woman if it suits her nature.   Some women have much lower & less open sex drives than others. If such women are forced into sex work as its the only way they can afford rent and food, then they'll likely  hate it.

Here's a 3 min ITV news video about young British girls suffering from hunger in Britain right now.  (It was on the top my twitter this morning, as it's world hunger day)

A rise in survival sex might benefit Punters a little in terms of lower prices. But there will be more cases of cold and mechanical service.  And long term (7+ years down the line), as there's likely to be more evidence of sex work traumatising women, feminists might finally gain the upper hand, and force their beloved Nordic model into law.

Online jesse4585

..... in the grand scheme of things sex work is not a good job choice financially for women (In developed EU countries where you can get educated to the point you can have a well paid job). I mean if you started at 18 you would have max 15 years of your youthful prime to max out your earning potential before you get burnt out or have to change the type of service you offer as you get older and some punters will not want to see you anymore as you are too old.

Add on to this the safety risks, no pension, no sick leave, no employment benefits and chance of mental and physical burnout, in all honesty it's a shit choice. ...

I agree it would be a shit choice for a women that doesn't enjoy sex with strangers,  and who might be good enough to get one of the best paid jobs.  Even young doctors struggle these days, but at least they get near guaranteed pay rises, and are likely to be earning over 100k when they hit 46, which is almost (though not quite) impossible in sex work.

But most young people can't get that sort of job.  Unlike most here I like my politics, I've been involved in the 'Future of work' discussion these past few years, and get to talk to  even Oxford graduates who earn less than 30k by the time they are 30. There's lots of exceptions, but its less easy for even well educated youngsters to get well paid jobs than it was before 2008.

As for mental burnout, that happens a lot with regular jobs too, and I think for some women a civvy job is worse. Example, there was a young girl at my work a few years back who was almost a nympho.  She only lasted 6 months,  the office women used to slag her off so bad she had a nervous break down , took sick leave and never came back.  I'm not sure if she went into sex work, but suspect she'd be much happier if she did...

I would have said "you have been reading my private computer, please leave at once".

Then I call the agency and tell them that their cleaner acted unprofessionally by reading private bank correspondence on an open lap-top.

Then I ask for a more honest cleaner to be sent.

If you don't do this she can report you for paedophilia or any other rubbish she fancies.

So you would lie to make life difficult for a hard working women who had the balls to state her own opinion on the plight of some women and the scum amongst men from her own country who have left to try and improve life.
Unless Aw has gone downhill over night how the fuck has paedo come into it.

Very true on all counts, enjoying a lot of sex and multiple partners is frowned upon by jealous women and two faced men, or even the other way round, in the workplace it becomes a reason for bullying.

……………...which is exactly why I listened to her view without criticising her either at the time or to her agency afterwards; I was a complete plum to get caught out, it isn't her thought I'm stupid.

I can't really argue with this. I think it's a bit of both where I maybe didn't understand. Are people really dying of starvation in the UK that is the question. People survived on rations in WWII. If someone genuinely can't feed themselves then I don't know what to say, maybe learn a few basic recipes and don't buy big macs.

I'm guessing this is the post you are referring to:

With the rise of men-hating feminism and a good proportion of the homeless being ex-servicemen I have zero sympathy for these women. About 70% of the homeless are women yet there are multiple news articles written about homeless women, or having sympathy for homeless women, including a documentary recently where it showed these homeless women wearing designer tracksuits and earrings??? Homelessness primarily affects men and no one gives a shit - External Link/Members Only

Where are all the "it's about equality" feminists campaigning for these men?

I have several business meetings at a place next door to a Jobcentre also and the amount of women standing around in full designer gear, with the latest smartphone, with a 66 plate SUV parked in the disabled bay of the carpark right outside and a load of kids in tow, often of different race to each other suggesting different fathers... in some cases openly talking to each other about how to get more benefits or what fancy holiday they just went on... nope. no sympathy.

I don't hate women I just have no sympathy for them as they have no sympathy for the men who invented and produced everything that they shamelessly consume for free whilst continuing to belittle men and blame them for all of their problems.

Fortunatly men are waking up by the droves and either going "red pill" or "mgtow" and so women's "purchasing power" so to speak is dwindling fast.

The door way with soiled cardboard boxes and empty cans of Kestrel super strength piled up?

MGTOW are advocates of fucking blow-up dolls as a relationship substitute. Irony is the men that follow these movements are often even more bitter than the feminists who complain that you mention.

I agree a little about MGTOW although only a few of them are doing the blow up doll thing. Most of them use escorts or SA women. They just aren't dating anymore.

They are bitter because they haven't found anything to replace relationships with. Once you find your thing, even sex becomes old. If sex was 100% risk free then it would be fine but with women doing shit like taking semen from used condoms to impregnate themselves, and that actually being ok in family court for child support, it's just too dangerous.

That's paranoia at it worst. Most women are sane and reasonable. You're also conflating two different things sex and relationships. The purpose of a relationship isn't to have sex on tap.

Not worked out how to highlight and quote a single part, the Benefit abuse is because they can and it is the system and short staffing causing bad job morale that is more to blame.
Those in job centres just want to get through the day and don,t give a fuck, Investigation staff are non existent, if there was more all they would have to do to identify fraud is stand outside then follow up, it is not going to happen in these days of cuts and human rights.
If the system was fixed to work investigation staff would make a profit but as long as it is not people will abuse it. The only times the catch fraudsters these days is from the plums posting on social media, look at the uproar over a 25k limit, that nearly got overturned and i for one agree with it, should be cut year on year until they find getting work is better. if you can,t live on 500 quid a week free money you need to look at your life.

A cousin of mine worked as investigator. The problem is it take months to catch somebody, as they need a lot of evidence. She told me of one case of someone who claimed to be in a wheelchair was in the gym lifting weights. It's also a dangerous job, but pays OK.
