Author Topic: Airport punts...  (Read 1350 times)

Here's a logistics question. I travel very frequently and it affords me a good window to get a 1 hour session in. I'm trying to work out the logistics of getting a punt in before I board my flight. What complicates matters is having a piece of luggage with me, and making sure I leave enough time to get to the actual airport (usually Heathrow).

I have two scenarios, let me know if they make sense:

1. Store luggage at Paddington. Do a punt with one of the agency girls around Bayswater and maybe as far afield as South Ken. All in: 1 hr session + 30 mins max travel to and fro. Get on the Heathrow Express at Paddington and head to airport.

The problem with this scenario is the possibility of missing the train and possibly missing the flight.

2. Go to Heathrow, check in luggage and then arrange a punt somewhere nearby. But my question is where? Can you do the airport hotels for 1n hour or two? Which one is best? It seems if the girl is going on an outcall to the hotel, there is also the possiiblity of unforeseen delays, which will eat into the meeting. Alternatively, how close are the incall girls to the airport?

A fair few of the incall girls are in one of the hotels on Bath Rd.  Option 2 as an incall seems better. Just look at TW6 distance 0.  Hot list for a bit.  Ask the ones you fancy (with reviews here) if they are in a BR hotel.

You could just go there first and keep luggage with you. No one will bat an eyelid that you have big luggage in a bath road hotel.

I can't see why taking your hand luggage to a punt is a problem.

How much free time do you have, so for example, could you book into hotel at the airport and stay overnight, and a few hours with escort

i've often had a punt in central london before catching  the train to the airport or train station, not an issue since i tend to travel light and just have one carry on suitcase. often get asked if there are toys in the case..
thou my preference is to arrange a punt at my destination, it's often easier and more relaxed to land and either check-in and go punt or punt and then check-in / head to whereever i'm supposed to be. means i get to the meeting freshly showered and i can change if needs be.
one of my fav. memories was landing in madrid, dumped bags at the hotel and was in Club Vive an hour after landing. stayed there until closing time (5am)- had a great but expensive time.. then cab back to the hotel for a leisurely shower / shave etc, quick breakfast then off to deliver an all day training course to my client.... then onto the plane back home. Loooooong day!

I once rocked up to a punt with hand luggage and large suitcase in tow. That was after dredging across London on the tube from the airport to get home. Sp found it funny, but not uncommon. Just take of any tags/name cards if you don’t want her to know your real name while you’re having a shower

Take the luggage with you - and take it into the bathroom with you too.  Much easier than messing around with left luggage facilities or checking in super-early.

Done this. Saw girl with cabin baggage in the corner of the bedroom. Onward to Heathrow and boarded with a smile. Not sure would work with City but there seem to be some now in East London

I've done this plenty of times, but not in the UK - mostly abroad.

Note your flight times, always aim for evening or lunch time flights.

If possible ask the hotel to get you a cab for xyz time slots, or note train times and duration to the Airport from the station ( include delays, just to be safe )

Then arrange an early plunge that allows time from you to make your way to the Airport afterwards.

Hand luggage, you can always take with you - also most hotel reception / concierge will be happy to store them if required.

SP-wise they will understand if you tell them you have a flight & will even time keep for you.

Also Airport hotels can take short or overnight bookings - some are close enough to the Airport.

I have done this a few times.

Heathrow
What is "best" depends on where you are starting from...
- if you're starting from west London, go to Paddington, see someone there, then take the Heathrow Express
- if you're east / southeast, try someone on the Piccadilly Line (Gloucester Road-ish, where there are plenty of WGs). Then get back on the Pciadilly line and go to Heathrow. Don't bother with the express, by the time you get to it you only save about 15 mins

At Heathrow, the hotels in Bath Road etc are actually very slow to get to / from the terminal. Shuttle buses are slow and taxis few and far between. Plus quality of WGs not always the best in my experience.

Solution - the hotel at Terminal 5 does day rates - book that, check in at T5, get rid of the bag, walk to the hotel and see the girl of your choice then walk back to the terminal and go through security. I have done a few Reverse bookings this way and it worked out a lot better than booking girls at their outcall rates :)

City
Better to see someone Canary Wharf-ish then hop on the DLR or take a cab to the airport.

thanks for all the suggestions. a few responses:

1. bringing the luggage: sure, doable, but i don't feel super great bringing my laptops, tablets, other tech gear and passport along to a punt. if it's hand carry maybe, but i usually do 1-2 week trips, so it's not hand-carry.

2. the paddington luggage-check option may be feasible, with enough time to ensure the train is caught.

3. the t5 day-rate hotel idea is a nice one, but who knows if the girls show up on time, etc. but at least you're much less likely to miss a flight.

Overall, I guess I will give the Paddington idea a go next time. Lots of options from agencies close to paddington.

Just be careful on point1. These girls are wg and not thieves (except when they are mechanical) but be careful of your surroundings

Just check your luggage in early then get a Uber to a nearby girl. Plenty within 5 mile radius.

Although Bayswater Paddington quality is better.
