I didn't have a problem with his post above, and I have today replied to him by PM.
To digress a little:
Over the years, I have learnt the hard way to PM only trusted members with info I did not want to post openly. So far, only one twat turned against me about a year ago, by going public on other forums and accusing me of filing fake reports on here and on AW, and trying to reveal my identity (which he failed with big time, as he got most facts wrong).
I did inform Admin, but he had already been banned on here by then.
Since then, for all newbies, most of the time, I tend to provide info, usually on any of my punts, which they needed more info on (as infoseeker did with Zara-Louise) or further details of any profiles I may have posted on.
On average, I tend to receive 3~4 PMs a day, enquiring about posts or links I have posted or commented on, mainly in the East Midlands section. It is not something I set out to do when I joined, but I enjoy posting on this forum and am glad to help out anyone avoid a bad punt, or worse still, any scam or fake profiles (mainly newbies). Quite often some of the experienced members may also send an enquiry by PM.
Most experienced posters follow the etiquette Smiths mentioned above, but nevertheless, I would still avoid posting any info that could backfire on me in the future. I hardly post on topics such as politics, religion, etc. so I tend to stay out of the way of any ping pong banter on here, so have hardly fallen out with any members.
