Author Topic: How does AdultWork availability work?  (Read 729 times)

So when you look at the availability on a SPs AW profile some show the days and hours that they are available, however, none seem to show when they have taken a booking so that they can receive the necessary feedback that goes with it?

Is the availability think just to show when they work or does it actually block out periods when they have accepted a booking?

I have submitted booking requests and they do not seem to appear, so slightly confused as to why it is there.

It only show the hours that they work. If they can be bothered to fill it in. Bookings made do not update the availability diary unless the WG updates it manually.  :hi:

My understanding is that IF the Escort uses/updates the availability diary, the system only allows bookings within her intended working hours. If someone then books her for one of these slots, the system does not show that slot anymore as "available".

However, that only happens once an Escort has "confirmed" the booking in the system but many Escorts do not formally confirm the booking on the system until afterwards. This is because once she confirms it, punters can leave "rated" feedback (ie positive or negative) as opposed to just "feedback only". That way, they can wait and see how the meeting goes before giving the punter an opportunity to leave a negative rated feedback - not that you see much negative feedback on AW.

Thats my understanding, happy to be advised differently if anyone knows its different to that.

Yes, You can only place a booking if the diary shows availability for the time you book. BUT, The diary does not update availability, even if the WG confirms the booking.

Thanks chaps, makes sense now, different subject but related, how does AW decide to show your SPs in your Hot List? Is it on hits that day on their profile or some algorithm thingy?

I think it is "most recently logged in"  but others may know better than I

Offline acorn50

Nope, not that, they are in some sort of random order, but not by time last logged in. Not by last update on their profile either, so think it must be some random computer thing, not by most overall views either.

Don't know if it is fate's way of telling me the way to work through the list!

On the mobile site it's alphabetical order.

On the desktop site it's most recently updated profile first. A girl that updated her profile a week ago but hasn't logged in since will be much higher than one who updated 2 months ago but logged in and checked mail every day since.

The desktop search allows you to search within or excluding all hot lists and thereby choose the order of results. Unfortunately you can't pick which HL's as it's all or none. If you simply click on 'My Hot Lists' you get a list of your Hot Lists. You can click on + to view an alphabetical list of names within that HL.

Cheers Dolky, all makes sense now, not sure why I didn't notice that before, looking for the mystery option I guess.

They use a crude algo based on matching interests, the providers last log-on time, and the providers level of activity plus other factors no doubt that I am not aware of.

Q How does AdultWork availability work?
A It doesn't.

One of the gripes i have with AW is that I have come across a number of ads.on there when an escort has "available today" showing but no phone number on the profile.
You would expect a phone number to be posted otherwise how the hell can we do a last minute booking?

Most pro$$ies have just about mastered texting let alone working out how to do online updates.  I would guess difficult from a smartphone, especially if limited lingo

You have hit the nail on the head
The feedback stuff you mention is IMO fundamental to them not using the online system
This system makes Awank look organised whereas in reality it is highly unlikely that it gets used in a material way

In the same way that pro$$ies defer confirming until after the booking completes, this also works for punters.  So if you feel the need to leave AW FB, coz maybe you need some yourself, then best to agree with said burd to create a dummy booking to do this after the event.  The burd accepts & FB is left.  Leave this a few days [to organize], better to cover tracks, & this avoids 'rose tinted glasses' syndrome which can be infectious when the tanks have recently been emptied
