I think this subject has been done to death on UKP quite a few times and guys fall into a couple of groups.

I think you need to read ALL of the words in the definition.   The key one you seem to be conveniently ignoring is "propensity". Which OED defines as "An inclination or natural tendency to behave in a particular way".
