Sorry if its been done before but this dawned on me this morning - jumped in car, opened Sat Nav to enter my destination and the last 6 or so entries pop-up on the screen. So dont forget to delete to avoid any awkward questions.

VERY EASILY FORGOTTEN ON YOUR WAY HOME WHEN YOU'R FULLY SATISFIED ... :kissgirl:

BUT LATER IS TOTALLY ANOTHER TYPE OF "BALLS" GAME... :scare:

Technology will sink ya !

In the old days you just looked out for till receipts in your pocket - they told of where you'd been and when..
These days it seems like every bloody thing you own will squeal !

I think this post means I am officially now an old git

Probably best to use Google Navigation on your smartphone.  Even if you forget to delete your destination, at least it's on your gadget in your pocket.

I had TomTom downloaded on my Samsung Google phone.
No way to delete previous destinations!

Not sure how to delete mine. I counter this by having a legitimate cover story for going to say, Wigan. The last 30 trips show on mine so I punch loads of local journeys into it on  the way home so Wigan tumbles down the list and off the main screen.
One plus point is that it's so user unfriendly I'm the only person who can work it or interrogate it. It's built in too so the possibility of someone getting at it is remote.
I've noticed my sexy new smart phone is tracking me, got a pop-up asking me to review a service station I visited for a piss the other week....... I've disabled a few settings on it now but something else to be wary of.

You should be able to go into previous trips & press set / start on each one .  Saves typing in new addresses

My new car has an annoying trick of syncing everything on my phone to the satnav and phone contacts over bluetooth (which i use to stream music on my long drives to punts)

Imagine my surprise when trying to call the dentists from the car and the name of a WG came up in the memory.

Lesson learnt

'Bout the only good thing of the built in sat nav on my motor is you can delete individual destinations. Whether it's capable of getting you to that destination is an entirely different rant.

Shakin my head reading these posts on the perils of a cars built in Sat Nag.
History and syncing and making suggestions and no deletion - what a minefield!  :scare:

If I ever get a car with it built in I'm keeping my old (cigarette-lighter-plug-in) one for punting
And no I'm never getting a smartphone..I prefer a feature phone...but that's another thread

So along with my punting phone I now need a punting Sat Nav
If only I had a detachable punting cock I wouldn't need to worry about catching a dose

On a related note, a friend of mine was once watching porn on his laptop/tablet in the bedroom, whilst his wife and children watched whatever on his extremely large, state of the art, Smart TV in the lounge. He has no idea what he did, but what he was watching suddenly came up on the TV screen. Fortunately, his family are equally IT illiterate, and accepted his explanation (I think he said it was an adult channel cutting in).

Once you've come back from the punting trip (or on your way back), re-enter loads of known, previously-entered destinations which are familiar to other car users, so that the punting trip becomes buried well down below, underneath more "recent" destinations that you have been to.
