I guess it depends on your price range, the crowne plaza is pretty accessible to them, unless you book your visitor too late and they lock the front doors, meaning you have to get the desk guy to let you in, not sure if they lock the car park entrance thought, other than that, reception might be right by the entrance, but there are stairs up to the bar/food area and from there lifts to the rooms, so they don't have to walk straight past reception directly to the lifts, from there no restrictions to the rooms (unlike some hotels that require key card to access the floors
)
Also, Nottingham has an abundance of AirBnB possibilities, and reasonably priced too
