Having grown up watching my brother's mates who came from the Polokshields Govanhill and Woodlands areas of Glasgow I saw and heard a lot about these heartstring scams as I call them. The result is I doubt even the genuine stories now till I have seen credible sources confirm them. As for the blackmailing I have never allowed myself to be put in that position. Worst thing to happen to me was back in the late 90s I picked up a street girl who took me to a quiet industrtial area where 2 guys appeared mid blow job and tried to threaten me with a knife, the girl opened the door over riding my locks on the car and me being stupid and more afraid of explaining to my parents what happened to the Ford Orion fought back. How I didn't get stabbed I don't know but the girl found herself slashed by accident as I jumped out the car and then I realised she was with them because of the concern the stabbed had for her.
