Author Topic: Adultwork '401 page not found'......  (Read 779 times)

Offline kojak71

Does anyone know if there is a reason for adultwork sometimes saying 'this member is no longer active' (or whatever the phrase is) and the '401 page not found' when a provider has (presumably) stopped working?

Is one of the cases possibly temporary?

You've answered your own question there. It's either been deleted or hidden from view.

Yes. The profile's gone, but the database hasn't been updated / reindexed
Happens all the time. I get texts advising me of new girls in my area. By the time I come to check them, usually later the same day, around 70% show one or other of the "missing" flags

Even worse is when you look up a girlie (recommended in a review), but shes gone.. and AW helpfully suggests alternative SPs in the vicinity but 40% of em are blokes!

Ta for the replies gents.

I'm trying to find a link to post - I clicked a link to some WG on here and instead of the usual 'member no longer active....' message, a '401 page not found' or something like that was returned.
Maybe the 401 thing becomes 'no longer active....' after a time and that's why I've never seen it before? (Seen the 'no longer active' message plenty of times...

there are more than one way of taking a profile online, and the various messages are the result. Don't read too much into it. Profiles can go offline because AW have taken it down, because the poster has hidden it, or temporarily suspended it. Or deleted it. Each has its own message - net result is the same.
