Fired of a text to see if Nicole was available a couple of weeks ago when I was working in the area. A IRL friend got caught out after their burner phone was discovered by their SO. So I guess it depends if you think you can keep your privacy hidden within your main phone better than you think you can hide a physical burner!

Well yes, if you're stupid enough to let someone find your burner phone then you can still end up in the shit.

But basically, you don't want any WG knowing your real number. There's all kinds of ways they can find out who you are (Googling it, social media etc), they might contact you on it unannounced and all kinds of other crap.

Overall I think most would agree you're a lot safer with a dedicated punting phone.

For a relative simpleton like myself, it's just easier to have #Real Phone and a #Naughty Phone. Nothing to do with the naughty life ever gets linked to the real life.

I think you're being hard on yourself. Even if you're Bill Gates himself (and I assume you're not), unless you are particularly OCD about the way you do things, all it takes is one slip. We've all sent a text to wrong person IRL. So as you say, having a completely seperate phone eliminates this possibility.
