Should you crack one off before a punt?

I used to do this a few hours before the punt when I was younger, and it usually worked. But now that I'm older I can't as I find it hard to cum twice in the space of several hours. However what I sometimes do is have a wank but in the morning before the punt, but not to completion, which can sometimes result in an explosive climax later.

If i cracked one off before a punt i would probably be inclined to want to cancel , my brain would kick in

One of my quirks is that as a booked-in-advance or anticipated punt approaches, I like to get a sense of what it's going to be like and what I would like to do by watching some porn with a woman who more or less resembles (I hope) the one I intend to see (not of course an exact science but something along the lines of looking in porzo.com for a 'thick busty brunette' or whatever). This may have the desired effect of keeping me interested in the forthcoming punt but has the attendant risk of making me want to knock one out. I have to say it's an awful, awful dilemma.
