I find that sildenafil kicks in about 20 minutes after taking it, not the often quoted one hour. I know that it is taking effect when my face starts to feel warm.  In my case it can retain some effect for up to 12 hours; if I have taken it for an evening shag then I often wake up the next morning with an erection.


As for the reduced sensitivity, are you sure it wasn't the wine that did that?

30 minutes is often quoted as the time it takes to react but because it is effect lasts for four hours taking it an hour beforehand is a good idea and often suggested if you want to be sure. If you chew the tablet and take it with water on an empty stomach it can kick in less than15 minutes. If you had a greasy or fried food before taking it this can delay the time and/or reduce effectiveness.
Reduced sensitivity or taking longer to cum is a widely reported side effect  This can be a benefit to those who cum to quickly but of course if you already have difficulty cuming it will add to your problem.

I have got a question for gentlemen who have been to their GP to request ED medication instead of buying it online. What tests, if any, do they carry out before they will give you a prescription for Viagra/Sildenafil? If you say you've got ED, do they just take your word for it and go 'alright then, here's your prescription'?
