Have you ever lost or left behind anything valuable on a punt?

I had a cracking punt the other week and left with that post punt fuzzy feeling.

I switched off my punting phone and hid it away to start making the journey home.

As I pulled into the station,for some reason I decided to switch on my punting phone only to find a number of missed calls and texts from the prossie.

I had only left my reasonably expensive watch in the shower,to compound things it was a gift from the wife 

I already knew the girl was off to scotland in the morning and I couldnt go back now as it was too late...

Luckily the next morning I reached out very early and was able to arrange a 7.30am pick up of my watch,a very lucky escape!

Anyone had any similar experiences,or worse?

I take very little in with me though, car key, punting phone, cheap watch and right cash, that's all that's on me.

I sometimes have to do this and it comes in with me. I tend to book well reviewed girls or those I've met before when I'm in this position. Not perfect, but as safe as I can play it.

I have left watches behind several times over the years. Fortunately I have realised each time when I was not too far away and been able to go to retrieve them before the next punter arrived.

My worst experience was last year when I saw a regular at a hotel and it being an hotel room I hung my things up in the wardrobe. It was not until I was well on my way home on the tube that I realised I had left my jumper behind. Not a designer one but it would have been difficult to explain its disappearance to the Wife.

After some frantic calling and texting I was able to arrange to go and pick it up the next morning before the young lady checked out of the hotel. So got away with it.

I try to be careful but I still forgot the old watch only a few weeks ago and had to double back smartly.

Did the same thing with an expensive watch, but luckily it wasnt a gift and I didn't turn the punting phone off, so was able to pop back and get it there and then.
